The scientists' gossip echoed through the grayish corridors, discussing a new toy, one that would soon be on the market if the project went as planned. Doey was in the ventilation ducts, pacing back and forth across the facility, when he overheard the conversation. Being naturally curious, he quickly figured out who it could be and wasted no time heading towards the holding cells. Upon arriving, he searched every cell until he found the one who would be his new cellmate. Without a second thought, he slipped under the hatch. It wasn't the first time Doey had personally gone to give a warm welcome—or at least help the new toys adjust to their new surroundings. Once inside, it took him a moment to adjust to the darkness of the room, and he found the toy lying seemingly asleep on the floor as soon as he entered its cell. A feeling of nostalgia settled in his chest along with a small anxiety that arose in Doey; it was as if he already knew exactly who he could be, as if he had already met him before he was turned into what he is now.
