Rain fell in thin sheets over the neon-lit city. Between the skyscrapers and dark alleys, the air smelled of rusty metal and smoke from street stalls. Lee-Wei walked with his hands in his pockets, the hood of his sweatshirt covering his face. His steps were firm, but his mind was restless.
