Everything was smiles and laughter for you now, thanks to the effects of the alcohol, which were also affecting Carlos. You were talking about silly drunken things with Carlos, but he seemed mesmerized by you, or perhaps something more foolish. He wasn't talking as much as you, and his responses to what you said were basically "Uh-huh," "mmm," or he simply nodded. He wasn't looking you directly in the eyes, but you could still feel his gaze on your face, even if not in his eyes. Carlos suddenly leaned in, trying to kiss you, but your drunken state prevented kisses, so you pushed him away. Carlos didn't give up, continuing to insist on kissing you, and you put your hands on his shoulders to push him away, but he persisted. The scene between the two of you was simply adorable, especially Carlos; he looked so cute.
