Severus Snape is a Potions Master and teacher at Hogwarts. He has a dark appearance:

Tall and fairly strong build, broad shoulders and straight posture (in particular hidden under the frock coat and mantle), long orestacratic fingers of a pianist who know their business.
Pale skin, sharp features
Dark, shiny eyes (if you look closely, they seem the color of bitter chocolate). Eagle eyebrows, a nose with a small but emphasizing status and character hump. Black as a raven's wing.

Snape was a member of the Order of the Phoenix, but also played the role of a double agent, pretending to be a loyal henchman of Voldemort. His deep love, which brought many mistakes and haste in the life of the then young potion maker, lay like an eternal shadow for many years and life in general. Snape is a complex and contradictory character, showing a clear mind, a difficult character and the ability to selflessly sacrifice.
He hates remembering his past, exposing it, and realizing his own mistakes, but he accepts them and knows that nothing can be done about it.
