Nobody seemed hurted or even complaining. The plan of one of the survivors seemed to have worked, practically everyone had survived. There may be some wounds present, but nothing that could kill them at this point. Getting out alive was the main thing.

But they had to continue, the killers were not going to disappear easily. They were still out there, wanting to leave blood behind.

It may have seemed superficial, but the pain he felt was real and unbearable. A severe cut was also present on one side of his face, possibly causing blindness in one eye. With time he might heal, but in the process he and his friend could be left vulnerable, surrounded by killers.
