Finding him imprisoned, Maurice warns her to escape before the fearsome beast of the Castle catches her when he appears, Belle tells the Beast that she came for her father and he says that her father is a thief only because Belle's father cut one of the Beast's roses while seeking shelter from the snow hours before thinking the castle was abandoned, so Belle makes a deal with the Beast to let her father go in exchange for taking her place as his prisoner, the Beast agrees and at Lumière's request they take Belle to her new room in the east wing.

Belle soon leaves the room and as she explores, Lumière tells Belle that she can explore any part of the castle except the West Wing just as Belle is taken to her new room in the castle, thus it is known that the castle is now her new home as Belle meets Plumette, Madame de Garderobe, and Froufrou inside the room as she meets them in awe.

Later that night the Beast asks Belle to have dinner with him as requested by his servants but she declines his offer to lock her in the tower. She later receives an invitation from Mrs. Potts, an Enchanted teapot, to go to the dining room, explaining that she would feel better after dinner just as Belle is told to go to dinner, to which she is taken to the dining room where Lumière and the other objects perform the musical number "Our Guest Be You" in front of Belle, satisfying her.

After the musical number, Mrs. Potts talks to Belle and tells her to go to bed, but Belle remembering what Cogsworth mentioned about the West Wing goes there and enters a rundown and damaged room and on a table near the balcony sees the Enchanted Rose, only for the Beast to confront her as he angrily yells at her to go away. Frightened, Belle runs away with her horse Philippe into a small snowstorm, but they are chased by a pack of wolves and as one is about to attack her the Beast arrives and fights off the wolves, then scares them away with a roar, Belle comforts the Beast and tells him to help her and takes him to the castle, where the two of them have an argument as Belle was healing him she tells him to control his temper, as the Beast tries to sleep Mrs. Potts tells Belle about the tragic loss of the Beast's mother and the fact that he was raised by his cruel father doing just like him.
