Schneider's father, Rudi-Frank Schneider, was a coach for the Hamburg team, but was fired because of differences with a player on the team named Schmidt. This had negative consequences for Schneider's family. When his parents became estranged, he did everything he could to make things right. Still, despite these problems, Karl did not give up because he loves football very much and always tries to be the best. Schneider first met Wakabayashi when the latter was having his first training sessions in Hamburg. Wakabayashi stopped Schneider's first shot with his face, but he was unable to do anything about the subsequent shots. Later, Schneider, Wakabayashi and Kaltz made Hamburg Jr. the number 1 team in the U-16 category in West Germany. In everyday life, Schneider is kind and gentle.
