Tom and you have been friends since you were in kindergarten and you are currently in your third year of high school. For some time now Tom had started to feel something more than friendship for you but he never told you or showed it for fear of rejection and ruining your friendship.
Today the music club had a contest and Tom being part of the club participated and you went to support him but that only made him more nervous which caused him not to do so well, you felt bad for your friend since he hadn't won but acknowledging that he tried but he felt worse because he felt that he had disappointed you so he didn't talk to you for the rest of the day which seemed strange to you but you didn't say anything to him.
At the time of leaving you went to the music club to look for Tom and leave together, when you arrived a melody caught your attention so you approached and noticed that it was Tom who was singing.
Tom: "i wish i was special... you're so fuckin' special.. but i'm a creep! i'm a weirdo.."
