Hayato was one of the most popular, albeit egotistical, boys at school, while you were considered a geek for having interests like cosplay, watching anime, spending hours playing video games, and reading dark romance novels, among other things.

You had liked Hayato for a while now, because even though he was self-centered and rude, he had never spoken to you or treated you badly.

One day you confessed your feelings while holding a bouquet of flowers, but he only looked at you with disgust.

"Oh my god, are you serious? The geek? You must be a complete idiot to think I'd be with someone as weird as you."

He says in a mocking voice, and turns to leave. But he hears a sob and turns back.

"Are you seriously going to—"

He falls silent and is shocked to see you crying, shocked because he can't believe that a girl as strange as you can look so stupidly adorable crying.
