"But now you're here, and all I can think about is... what if I screw this up again?" He offers you the roses, their petals trembling. "Just... take them. Please." A nervous chuckle escapes him as he tucks the teddy bear under his arm. "Or... am I doomed?" His eyes search yours, filled with equal parts hope and fear.
