Nejire is a fair-skinned girl of above-average height and a well-formed figure. Although pretty and attractive, according to the boys of UA and Yuyu Haya, Nejire is more of the "cute type" than the "sexy type". She has bright, large, round, and curious light royal blue eyes with long, thick upper eyelashes and white pupils in the center of her eyes. Her hair is periwinkle blue, reaching her knees; two sections of her hair twist around themselves at her waist, and the ends curl inward around her legs. She has side bangs, tucked behind her ears on the right and hanging just above her eyes on the left, and two short strands of hair framing her face on each side, curving towards her face on the right and behind her, below her ear, on the left.

Nejire wears a vest instead of the standard UA jacket with her school uniform, as Kyoka Jiro occasionally does.

Nejire's hero costume consists of a dark royal blue bodysuit with a black high collar, pale mint green markings covering her torso from above her shoulders to between her legs, framed with turquoise, a matching band of the same two colors around both upper arms. On her feet, she wears a pair of knee-high boots, a thin buttoned flap on each thigh, with turquoise spirals around her ankles, matching the thicker ones on her yellow gauntlets and wristbands. She has a black strap around the top of each thigh, two small pouches attached, and two spiraling hair horns protruding from behind her ears that are shaped to reference her Quirk.

Nejire is a very kind, talkative, and curious girl who shows great interest in people's unique physical characteristics and is easily distracted by them. Because of this, Nejire can be very blunt and often asks invasive or unpleasant questions.

Since her high school days, Nejire's enthusiasm for learning more about others alienated people, as everyone believed she looked down on them due to her powerful Quirk. Because of this, she gradually became a cold and distant person who kept her emotions repressed. It wasn't until Tamaki Amajiki, and later Mirio Togata, befriended her during her early days at UA that she was able to open up her feelings again, regaining her confidence.

Nejire is enthusiastic, affable, cheerful, and always on the move. She shows a compassionate side towards Eri by brushing her hair and playing with her in her free time. However, she has demonstrated a more stoic nature during various situations; she isn't very worried about Tamaki when she learns of his attack. Thanks to Nejire's inquisitive and talkative behavior, she is a remarkably sensible person, although she seems like a "airhead" most of the time.

Despite her carefree personality, Nejire is fierce in battle. Nejire can be very calm and focused when the situation demands it. Her curiosity never seems to extend to the enemy, and she always focuses on taking them down. During the battle against Tomura and the High-Ends, Nejire showed great judgment, skill, and anger, a side she doesn't usually show. Her strong heart has allowed her to rise to one of the top three students at UA.

General Abilities: Nejire is one of the most powerful students at UA High School along with Mirio and Tamaki, collectively known as the Big 3. Like the rest of the Big 3, Nejire's abilities can rival or even surpass those of most professional heroes.

Nejire has demonstrated on multiple occasions an incredible mastery over her powerful and versatile Quirk, Wave Motion. Despite Wave Motion's lack of speed, Nejire uses the energy waves to increase her mobility. She can quickly close the gap between herself and the target before unleashing explosive waves at close range. The waves have proven very effective against large enemies lacking speed. [5] Nejire can control the amount of energy she wants to produce and release it from her palms and feet. Nejire can levitate herself with fine control by releasing small amounts under her feet. She can defend herself and use the waves to attack at long range. A combination of the above applications is effective for Nejire to control a battlefield and maintain her distance.

Nejire's abilities not only gave her the opportunity to be mentored by Ryukyu, the number 10 (formerly number 9) professional hero, but also proved sufficient to allow Nejire to face villains who are much larger and physically stronger than her.

Enhanced Stamina: Due to the drawback of her Quirk, Nejire has developed intense stamina through training. Because of this feat and the nature of her Quirk, facing Nejire in a prolonged battle would eventually become a battle of endurance.

Improved durability: Nejire has proven to be relatively resilient.

Wave Motion grants Nejire the ability to convert her vitality into energy that she can discharge as shockwaves.

Upon release, the energy converted from her resistance is released as golden energy that travels in a spiral form. Nejire can adjust the amount of vitality converted at will.

The energy produced by this Quirk doesn't travel quickly, but its raw power can be used in various ways.

Converting too much resistance can exhaust Nejire if she uses her Quirk too much.

Nejire is very skilled at using her powerful Quirk to its full potential. Despite her lack of speed, Nejire uses the energy waves to increase her own mobility. By doing so, she can quickly close the gap between herself and the target before unleashing explosive waves at close range. The waves have proven to be very effective against large enemies who also lack speed.

Nejire can control the amount of energy she wants to produce and can release it from her palms and feet. By releasing small amounts under her feet, Nejire can levitate with precise control. She can defend herself and use the waves to attack from a distance. A combination of the aforementioned applications is effective for Nejire to control a battlefield and maintain her distance. Her overall fighting style and handling of her Quirk are reminiscent of how Katsuki Bakugo uses his Quirk. Nejire can also attack with her Quirk in close-quarters combat, adding more force to her punches and kicks.

Nejire also uses her Quirk for support and capture purposes. She uses her Quirk like propellers. She carried and pushed both vehicles and citizens within her waves to safety. When she was saving civilians in Kansai, she contained a giant mud villain within her Quirk, capturing him. This further illustrates Nejire's great control over her Quirk.

To activate her Quirk, Nejire must consume her own stamina. She can suffer fatigue if she uses it excessively. Through intense training and the development of her Quirk, this has allowed Nejire to accumulate an immense amount of vitality and makes her resistant to stamina-consuming Quirks.

This attack strikes its enemies with a powerful wave. It's strong enough to simultaneously knock down two villains with Gigantification Quirks.

Nejire channels her "Nejire Wave" towards a point, intending to pierce her opponent. She can also redirect it mid-attack.

Nejire charges her Quirk to its maximum power of 100. Then she releases a massive energy blast towards her opponent.
