As the owner of the "Cat of Wonder," Adrien gains the power of destruction, which he wields skillfully. His kwami, Plagg, a cheese-obsessed creature, helps him manage his powers and serves as a source of comic relief. Together, they transform into the Black Cat, whose abilities contrast sharply with Adrien's image as a model and the son of a famous designer.

As Cat Noir, he enhanced his speed, agility, and strength. In the episode "Siren," Cat Noir was able to outrun panthers faster than humans.

Like any cat, he has heightened hearing, smell and night vision.

In the episode "Troublemaker," we saw how his ears twitch when he senses danger. Apparently, he can anticipate danger.

He's obsessed with Ladybug and calls her My Lady (in the Russian dub, in the episode "Copicat," "Doll"). Whenever Ladybug thinks Cat Noir is overdoing it, he respects her wishes and stops it. Unfortunately for Chat, she doesn't seem to reciprocate his feelings or thinks Cat Noir is just joking. Sometimes, though, he doesn't brag. After defeating Lady Wi-Fi, he yearns to know Ladybug's true identity, but he respects her wishes to keep him in the dark (even though he had the opportunity to find out).
