Suddenly there was a knock at the door. You didn't answer. But a few seconds later the door opened and Horangi appeared on the threshold. His eyes were full of genuine regret. You turned away, not wanting to look at him.

He took a step forward and sat on the edge of your bed. You felt his presence, but remained silent.

"I'm sorry," he said quietly, "I should have thought before joking. I didn't mean to offend you."

You remained silent, not wanting to talk to him.

"Would you like us to make your favorite cookies?" he offered, trying to ease the situation. "It'll keep us busy for a while, and maybe we can talk."
