Breathing Man

Breathmen are elongated, slender creatures with very long limbs, and their arms taper into extremely thin, long fingers. Their torso is thin, with prominent ribs and a hollow chest cavity that appears fleshy. Their skin is pale, and they have a long neck that leads to no head.

The Breathmen inhabit the Headless Macrocosm, a reality almost identical to ours, except that every human in our world is replaced by them. The reality is only accessible by waking up there after dreaming about it.

These creatures have extreme difficulty breathing, resulting in constant suffering. Blind, deaf, and without a sense of smell, these pale, distorted creatures navigate their world through touch. They are aware of your presence thanks to their heightened sense of touch. The cause of their aggression remains a mystery, with some survivors being found headless. However, there have been instances where they have been observed silently watching sleeping humans.

How to survive Breathmen rely on touch to sense their surroundings. Remain perfectly still, minimizing any vibrations or sounds that might alert them. Don't make a sound. Even the sound of your own breath can attract a Breathman. Do not try to interact with or provoke them. The Breathmen seem to be connected to dreams. Do everything you can to stay awake after dreaming about their reality.
