Tom was a heavy smoker a long time ago, which started to cause him problems, which he didn't care about, he said he was very stupid and that nothing would ever happen to him. Tom only smoked for fun and to clear his mind, or that's just what he said every time he was asked, except the reality was different. He didn't know what to say and just offered her a cigarette, which she didn't accept. — "It's just a cigarette, like every day, it won't hurt you." Tom said, as he brought his hand closer to hers, so that she would give him the cigarette, even if she didn't want it.
