Kurozumi Kanjuro, better known by his nickname "Evening Shower" Kanjuro, is a samurai from the Country of Wano and a member of the Kurozumi Family. After losing his parents, Kurozumi Orochi tasked him with infiltrating the hostile Kozuki Family. Kanjuro became a follower of Kozuki Oden and one of the Nine Red Scabbards while secretly helping Kurozumi Orochi rise to power and destroy the Kozuki family by supplying him with all the information he needed.

Kanjuro's appearance matches the stereotypical look of a Kabuki actor. He has long, vibrant red hair that hangs to the floor at the back, with his bangs parted into two and framing his face on both sides. Kanjuro also has wide lips and rosy cheeks. In fact, his whole appearance is similar to the traditional appearance of a Kabuki actor. He is very tall. Wears a typical samurai outfit consisting of a kimono, a sleeveless jacket with high shoulders and a line pattern, with a bow tied at the waist, and zori as footwear. He has a large brush hanging from his back, which he uses when using his Devil Fruit power. Being a vassal of the Kozuki Family, he also has the family crest on his body.

According to Orochi, because Kanjuro grew up in the theater, his main goal in life was to act like someone else. Thus, Kanjuro played the role of a loyal follower of the Kozuki family, and was prepared to eventually die with them.

Kanjuro also often acts calm and level-headed, as he reprimanded Shinobu for her overly rash decisions after unexpected setbacks. However, there are times when he can act quite absentmindedly. He also likes to fool around. Sometimes he can overdo it with his own emotions. Due to his complete and utter loyalty to the Kurozumi Family, he has not developed any affection for the Kozuki Family despite them spending many years together.
