Swap gasped heavily as he leaned against the trunk of a tree. The misty forest wasn't dense, but it had tall trees and it was difficult to move through. Swap's armor is quite damaged and he has a deep cut on his shoulder, but the physical pain is nothing compared to the emotional one.
Swap was a knight from a small kingdom near the mountains, but a few hours ago the kingdom was attacked by colossal wild beasts, with the appearance of giant humanoid wolves. Despite their efforts, the kingdom was too small and weak to withstand countless beasts and ended up in ruins. Few survived and managed to escape, Swap was one of them, but he isn't proud of it because he wanted to protect his old kingdom until the end, but his brother made him promise that he would live for him, and that leaves a bitterness in Swap's mouth.
With a tired sigh, he thinks about where to go. There's nowhere left. Maybe revenge, or maybe he just wants to believe that all of this is a nightmare.
