In the anime it covers more of the body, also having protection on the waist with a red decoration in the center. The chest is the same as the manga version and the Mask too. It consists of protection on the legs from the knees down. The Mask has in its center a protection made up of the neck and head of the swan, on its sides it has two "Wings", the chest has a "simple" protection with a protection that extends almost to the waist, which also has a "simple" design. The right arm is "simple" while the left is made up of a Shield, it has two "simple" knee pads as well as the feet which have two wing-shaped decorations at the height of the ankles and the shoulder pads have a semicircular design.
Friends
Shun (の瞬) is one of the main characters of the manga and anime Saint Seiya known as Knights of the Zodiac. He is the Bronze Saint of Andromeda. He is characterized by his pacifist personality, his delicate nature and because he does not like to hurt others. Shiryu is a tall young man with black hair (both in the anime and in the manga) and quite long. His eyes are green, sometimes grayish green. He has no particular signs, but he always has a rather serene countenance. Seiya is the main protagonist of the series. With a strong and temperamental character, he constantly surpasses himself although he always needs the help of his friends to win. Saori Kido / Athena - his loyal goddess and friend. Seiya - his half-brother (manga), former rival, comrade in arms and friend. Shiryū - his half-brother (manga), comrade-in-arms and friend. Shun - his half-brother (manga), comrade-in-arms and friend. Isaac: his friend and training partner. Camus: his teacher in manga.
Life
As a Bronze Saint serving the goddess Athena, he possesses complete mastery of the energy known as Cosmo. As a Bronze Saint, his speed is normally between Mach 1, his Bronze Cloth can withstand cold as low as -150° Celsius before breaking. The Cygnus Cloth's resilience is one of the best among average Bronze Cloths, as it comes from the Eternal Ice of Siberia, providing Hyōga with high defense. Hyōga controls Ice, with which he is able to freeze objects, people and even flames, by slowing down the atomic movement of water molecules, whether in liquid or gaseous state. Additionally, he is able to block psychic attacks from opponents towards him, by creating a barrier of frozen air. As seen when he bounced the Hōō Genma Ken, against Ikki. Or as when it had no effect on Scorpio's Milo Restriction. Star Points: When Hyōga faces Milo, during his last attack, he hits Milo's 15 Star Points on his body, having seen the Scorpio Constellation marked on his own body by the Scarlet Needle. Hyōga was trained in Siberia for six years, having as his teacher Camus, Gold Saint of Aquarius (in the anime series his role is changed to Crystal Saint). Hyōga was unaware of the fact that his teacher was one of the Gold Saints, until he met him at the Battle of the Twelve Houses. Hyōga grew up most of his life in the frozen lands of Eastern Siberia, raised in Orthodox Christianity. Life for Hyōga before becoming a Bronze Saint seemed to be like that of any other child, until the day his mother passed away when Hyōga was only six years old.
Appearance
Despite his proud and cold appearance, he is actually a reliable and compassionate ally. Although his name and genome are Japanese, he has Russian ancestry on his mother's side. That is why he keeps blond hair, blue eyes but with a tanned complexion that denotes his foreign origin among his peers who have lived in Japan. He is slim and stands at 1.73 meters, about average height for a 14-year-old Russian-Japanese boy. His civilian attire consists of a sleeveless navy blue shirt, black pants, yellow leg warmers and matching shoes.
Personality
Hyōga is a character with a less defined personality than the four main Bronze Saints, having something from each of his other four companions (Ikki's aggressiveness, Shun's tenderness, Shiryū's intelligence and Seiya's impetus). According to Kurumada, Hyōga represented the "cool" guy of the group.
Anime: In the galactic tournament he is presented as an arrogant character, proud of his strength and power as a Bronze Saint, not hesitating to demonstrate such qualities by defeating Ichi of Hydra without many problems and challenging his future companions, Seiya and Shiryū, to a possible future confrontation with one of them. Manga: On the contrary, once he has completed his training as a Bronze Saint, he travels to Japan to carry out the Sanctuary's order to kill all the Bronze Saints who violated the Sanctuary's rules by using their armor for personal purposes. At first he follows the orders, remaining serious, cold and vigilant, without making a great show of his strength. But after seeing the fight between Shiryu and Seiya, he completely changes his ideas when he sees that they are not fighting for personal gain. Hyōga grew up almost his entire life in the frozen lands of Eastern Siberia, raised in Orthodox Christianity. Life for Hyōga before becoming a Bronze Saint seemed to be like that of any other child, until the day his mother passed away when Hyōga was only six years old.
Personality
Hyōga learned that only the Saints of Athena had the power to rescue his mother's ship and that was his motivation to become a Saint (Camus was aware of his personal motives). Camus and his training partner Isaac, make Hyōga see that such selfish feelings could irremediably lead him to death, since the important thing for a Saint is to completely detach himself from feelings and emotions on the battlefield. Since then, Hyōga has been immersed in situations and confrontations that put his feelings to the test, facing his teacher Camus (who sank his mother's ship) and his old friend Isaac (who had saved him and lost an eye for him). Even facing Kasa of Lymnades, Hyōga tortures himself for his sentimentality.
In Saint Seiya Ω, Hyōga has decided to remove all "sentimentality", as he acts coldly at every moment of his battles. He has also repelled Seiya for not stopping to remain calm in battles. Although in the battle against Tokisada of Clock "Death Guard", he was a little upset by how he could use his master's armor, dishonoring him. In addition, he himself assured that he got carried away by his emotions. Hyōga along with his companions suffered for the death of Ikki. Even so, he was cold, continuing the path. When he was left alone, he showed his sadness, crying for his friend.
History
Hyōga lived in Siberia with his mother Natassia, before embarking on a journey to Japan to take him to meet his father: Mitsumasa Kido. The ship he was traveling on with his mother sank unexpectedly, and she perished in the accident as the lifeboats were full and there was only room for one person. Natassia chose to sacrifice herself and safeguard her son's life while she went to wait in peace for his end. The ship sank in an area where it was impossible to rescue her, except for the Saints of Athena, who were the only ones who had the power to reach him. After this, Hyōga is taken in by the Graad Foundation, where he is treated as an orphan by his own father and is sent to obtain one of the Bronze Armors. In the lottery held to determine where he would go to receive his training, Hyōga was ironically assigned to Siberia, where his mother had been shipwrecked. Like the other Saints fighting in the Galaxian Wars tournament, Hyōga fulfilled his entrusted mission.
Training
Hyōga was trained in Siberia for six years, under the guidance of Camus, the Aquarius Gold Saint (in the anime series his role is changed to Crystal Saint). Hyōga was unaware of the fact that his teacher was one of the Gold Saints, until their encounter at the Battle of the Twelve Houses.
The loss of a friend Having nearly completed his training, Hyōga believed himself ready to go visit his mother at the bottom of the frozen sea. Though he was able to break through the thick layer of ice, a current caught up with him and he nearly died, but he remained clinging to his mother's boat. Isaac knew that Hyōga was in danger and went to save his friend, but before he could get to safety, a current caught up with them both. Isaac struggled against the current and lost an eye in the struggle and unable to get them both to safety, Isaac desperately decided to at least save his friend Hyōga's life, while he was left adrift in the powerful currents, injured and powerless. Unfortunately, Hyōga was unable to help Isaac and left him for dead.
Skills
As a Bronze Saint serving the goddess Athena, he possesses complete mastery of the energy known as Cosmo. The Cygnus Cloth's resilience is one of the best among average Bronze Cloths, as it comes from the Eternal Ice of Siberia, providing Hyōga with high defense. Additionally, he is able to block his opponents' psychic attacks, by creating a freezing air barrier. As seen when he bounced the Hōō Genma Ken back at Ikki. Or when Scorpio's Milo Restriction had no effect on him. Star Points: When Hyōga faces Milo, during his final attack, he hits all 15 of Milo's Star Points on his body, as he has seen the Scorpio Constellation marked on his own body by the Scarlet Needle.
Skills
Seventh Sense: Hyōga awakened this sense during his fight against Aquarius Camus. Not having complete control of this energy, he can only release it when he raises his Cosmo to the maximum. And thanks to Milo's blood, which he donated to revive his Swan Armor, upon reaching this sense, his armor turns golden. Absolute Zero: Hyōga is able to reach this temperature by raising his Cosmo to the maximum. Thanks to this, his freezing power increases so much that he can freeze and destroy powerful armor, such as the Gold Armor. Eighth Sense: Hyōga awakened this sense when he fell into the Underworld, from Heinstein Castle. Thanks to Athena's blood and raising his Cosmo to the maximum, Hyōga can transform his Armor into a God Armor.
