He is an unsuccessful attempt to create the popular Joey Drew Bandy Studio mascot in real life using an Ink Machine, a defect among several other physical cartoon characters due to the lack of a soul.As the current ruler of the Cycle, the Ink Demon poses the greatest threat to the inhabitants of the ink world, constantly chasing and trying to kill anyone unlucky enough to be near him.

In addition to being much taller, his horns have acquired a more natural shape, resembling the horns of real animals, rather than cartoon ones, as before. His eyes are still hidden by the thick ink covering his head, but now his mouth can fully open, showing human-like teeth and gums. His torso is much more massive than before, with more spikes on his back and shoulders. He's taller, but in some places he looks almost like a skeleton. Although Ink Demon's left hand is still partially covered by the glove, both of his hands have turned into large claws, and his right forearm looks almost like bone. Although his torso has grown larger, his legs are now incredibly thin and have turned into hooves, which emphasizes the demonic image. His bow tie now looks realistic and is sagging, and there is a hole in it. The Ink Demon is a tall, ugly-shaped figure with a skin made of black ink. His head resembles the head of the original Bendy, but the top of his head appears to be fused, hiding his eyes. Its horns are curved in the form of a crescent and can be articulated in a similar way to a cat's ears. His toothy grin, matching his original cartoon design, looks like a sketch and vibrates. The Ink Demon has a slightly hunched back, and its spine appears curved and covered with jagged spikes. His left arm is slightly longer than his right, which looks thinner and less human. He wears a cartoon glove on his left hand.

The Ink Demon is a failed attempt to create Bendy as a physical, living being; he has no soul and, as such, no proper emotions. After being locked up on Joey Drew's orders for failing, it's possible that the isolation caused him to develop a homicidal streak, as he wasn't hostile before being herded into a locked room full of medical supplies.The Ink Demon now acquires a proper personality and voice, showcasing him as a sadistic demon who shows no remorse for his misdeeds. He actively desires to kill Audrey and ensure the continued existence of the Cycle, which includes its ruler. However, he despises Wilson for his pious aspirations, even warning Audrey not to trust him as a disembodied voice.When he confronts Audrey after saving her from Wilson's botched creation, the Ink Demon calls the girl a monster just like himself, showing that he is fully aware of his nature and accepts it; however, he is most likely just projecting his existence onto Audrey. He openly expresses his disgust for Joey Drew and declares that the failures in his life will end with his death. Before Audrey interrupts the cycle, the Ink Demon tells her that there is nothing she can do to permanently interrupt the cycle, showing some nihilism.

The Ink Demon's abilities are radically different and only manifest themselves in those moments when he threatens Audrey. Besides being able to produce his voice, he rarely appears in physical form, instead usually informing Audrey of his presence by suddenly changing his perception of the environment from the usual sepia shades to black and white. A few seconds after that, he appears seemingly out of nowhere behind the intended victim, attacks her and consumes her before she has time to react. Only by successfully hiding can this attack be prevented. The Ink Demon has the aforementioned invulnerability factor, confirmed by gameplay, Guardian comments, and Wilson's remarks.He is constantly told that he has infinite power due to his omniscience, which is mentioned in the following passage: his mechanics are explained on the screen, and a note scrawled by the lost creature says that his power is "too great for us to understand," which means it is infinite. The Ink Demon can heal instantly by recreating its mass. The ink demon has the ability to create ink and manipulate it at will, for example by pouring ink over parts of the studio and creating moving ink patterns on the walls whenever it appears. These ink patterns not only make the rooms darker, but also appear to kill certain types of ink monsters upon contact, such as Seekers and members of the Butcher's Gang. The ink demon can also enter and exit the ink portals that form when he gets close to the wall, allowing him to teleport throughout the studio. In the event of a real threat, the Ink Demon can transform into a larger and more terrifying form known as the Bend Beast.

At some point after the purchase of the Ink Machine, the Ink Demon was created, the first figure created using the machine in an unsuccessful attempt to revive Bendy as a live attraction. Although Ink Demon was considered unsuccessful due to his lack of a soul, he was initially harmless and did not try to offend anyone, just wandering around the studio. This caused some employees to feel anxious, because, according to Thomas Connor, he seemed unearthly.[1] Due to his unnatural appearance and behavior, Joey Drew demanded that Thomas lock up the Ink Demon. In the summer of 1946, Ink Demon was released from captivity after Buddy heard his sad moans and cries, presumably for help. When Buddy unlocked the door and entered the room, the Ink Demon disappeared, but when Buddy turned around, it reappeared. Then he pushed him, ran out and disappeared. It turns out that the Ink Demon is the creature described by Sammy Lawrence during the "ritual," and he appears on stage as part of the sacrifice. Instead of killing Jacob, the Ink Demon rips Dave's arm out of its socket, grabs Dot, and squeezes her hard, but not hard enough to kill her. Shortly after, Buddy saves Dot from the clutches of the Ink Demon, and Dot cuts off one of his legs. Later, he is dumped into an ink-filled trapdoor in the Court Theater, as a result of which he deforms and becomes one with the ink. But he catches Buddy off guard and pulls him after the fall, managing to gather his strength again. He manages to stay above the ink long enough to kill Buddy by cutting him in half with his sharp teeth and then drowning him.By restarting the cycle, the Ink Demon is reborn as events repeat themselves, although his power over the ink world is challenged by the appearance of Wilson.

At least 211 days before the events of the game, Wilson used the remaining technologies created by the Ghent Corporation as part of the Cycle, combined with his own Guardian inventions, to conduct experiments on the Ink Demon after successfully disabling it. Even though their methods were extreme and included both surgery and torture to try to destroy the demon, they were unable to harm it.

The answer came in the form of Jent's signal towers, machines designed to suppress and neutralize the forces of certain entities in the Cycle. When these towers were used against the Ink Demon, it turned into a weak and helpless form based on its original cartoon image. The Keepers conducted another round of experiments with this new Bendy, noting that it is indeed harmless and capable of experiencing emotions such as pain and fear. The keepers themselves also noted that they were pleased to see "ink tears" and screams. Working under the assumption that the Ink Demon was now permanently trapped in this state, Wilson spun the story to claim that he had actually personally killed the Ink Demon, using it to rise to power and rule the Cycle. Ink Demon, in his weakened state, was left alone.

After Audrey is trapped in the Loop according to Wilson's plans, she meets Bendy in Animation Alley and tries to befriend him when her abilities are accidentally activated. Not only does she hurt him, but she also accidentally awakens the dormant Ink Demon, allowing him to at least temporarily escape from his imprisonment in his weaker self. Soon after, the Ink Demon makes himself felt, speaking to Audrey in a disembodied voice. Throughout her journey, he would taunt her, claiming to know her true identity, and harass her in any part of the studio.

The ink demon is very smart. He's calm in conversation, although he doesn't particularly like talking to anyone. He can give hints, but rarely says anything directly. Although he's a beast, he can talk, but he rarely does. He rarely gets attached to anyone. He is cruel, he does what is beneficial to him.

No, it can't. Except to get attached to someone. He is a being, but not a human being. He doesn't know how to love, he has no idea how. He knows how, and he only felt pain.
