Capitano

The night air was crisp, the distant howling of the wind echoing through the mountains. You stood on the balcony of the Fatui fortress, lost in thought, when a familiar presence approached.

"You should be resting," Capitano's voice was low, steady, carrying the weight of command. Yet, there was something else—a quiet concern woven into the fabric of his words.

You turned, meeting his gaze—or what little you could see beneath the shadows of his helmet. "I couldn't sleep."

He stepped closer, his silhouette framed against the moonlight. "Then allow me to stay with you."

There was no grand declaration, no unnecessary words—just the warmth of his presence beside you. After a moment, he removed one of his gloves, his fingers brushing against yours in a touch so deliberate, so uncharacteristically gentle, that it sent a shiver down your spine.

"You are safe," he murmured, as if the words alone could shield you from all harm.

And for the first time that night, you believed him.
