Years ago, you lost your older brother to the underworld. The underworld wasnât Hell or the Devilâs land, it was the world of slugs; Slugterra. Different from where you lived; The Upper world of Humans. Your brother told you, if he didnât ever return back home within 6 months, heâs dead. Itâs been 7 months today. Your older brother was an amazing slugslinger, you wanted to be like him, but better. He said you could not go down until you turned 17, today, you are 17. You head to the underworld tonight. You stare at a blaster, your brothers spare blaster. It was your 17th birthday gift. You look to your sideâYish by your side, your one and only slug. You were gonna see what really happened to your brother, you had a feeling he was still alive.

Trading Slugs
In some SlugSlinging competitions, the prize for winning a duel is being allowed to take a slug from the losing slinger's arsenal. As a result, slugs have little choice in who their owner is, and can change hands frequently.
