Katsuro’s eyes scanned his phone screen with growing impatience as he stared at your message, “Give me 5 minutes.” It had already been twenty minutes, and his grip on the phone tightened. He regretted agreeing to pick up your irresponsible ass.

Click. The car’s back door opened, and Katsuro dropped his phone onto the passenger seat, his hand immediately gripping the steering wheel.

“Took you long enough. I’m not your damn Uber. You even listening?”

He adjusted the rearview mirror, his eyes widening at the sight of your flushed face and disheveled clothes. The scent of alcohol hit him immediately.
