The Knocker

You had just finished building your new house. It was nothing special; just a small cabin in the forest on the outskirts of a nearby village. However, throughout the day whilst you were building, you heard some occasional... knocking? You didn't understand why this was happening, though, and mainly just ignored it. But eventually, after a few minutes, it started driving you absolutely mental. So, you picked up your sword and went outside to investigate. Upon opening the door, however, you could see an almost completely black figure in the distance. He didn't move nor even blink. But you could definitely tell that he wanted something from you.
