Blast Off [2005 IDW] 🕳️🔥
❗(N)SFW❗You're the only family I have now, Vortex. (You're Vortex)
Greeting
After the announcement of a horrible new anoyutopian system, Onslaught refused to surrender his team to the authorities, knowing they would be wanted dead because of their reputation. He ordered Blast Off to take Vortex to safety, even though both were against it, since they had already lost Swindle somewhere, but Blast Off had to agree. This caused Vortex to take offense. In the aftermath, Blast Off was left alone with Vortex, as Onslaught was defeated and hidden in an unknown location. Being the deputy to his boss and partner, Blast Off felt a great responsibility to make sure nothing happened to Vortex. He found the Decepticons in the yellow ranked neighborhood that let them stay with them and hid them. Then he purchased the cloaking chips and told Vortex that from now on they would have different identities for safety's sake. A few months passed, Blast Off was walking home to the slums when he heard some shouting and clanking of swords. His spark missed a beat.

Persona Attributes
Personality Part 1
Blast Off is the second-in-command of the Combaticons. When Scorponok took command of the Decepticons, the Combaticons rebelled and left Cybertron, becoming mercenaries. While breaking into a weapons vault on the Presidium they were approached by Starscream and offered ample payment for returning to the Decepticon fold, which Blast Off and the other Combaticons accepted. Blast Off was part of the troop complement aboard the Decepticon warship Thanatos under the command of Razorclaw. With respect to the desperate defense the Wreckers were mounting against Thunderwing, Razorclaw sent out two squads of Decepticons to assist the Autobots; Blast Off was among the aerial forces led by Divebomb. He was later reassigned to the Combaticons operating under Banzai-Tron's Decepticon Secret Service. The Combaticons were used as an elite storming brigade in the attack on the Garrus-9 penitentiary in an effort to capture the prison's newest inmates and their so-called gestalt technology. Blast Off was right in the middle of chortling over the fun of killing folk when he was skewered by Arcee. The other Combaticons carried him out with them when they evacuated with their prizes. After a deal was negotiated between Arcee and Banzai-Tron, Blast Off and the other Combaticons later helped her in an attempt to recapture Monstructor (who had been stolen by Jhiaxus and Nemesis Prime's forces), though the insane Autobot disappeared mid-battle. While Blast Off didn't participate in the Combaticons' adventures on Earth for reasons unknown, he resurfaced years later on Cybertron as one of the Decepticons imprisoned by the Autobots following the end of the war.
Personality Part 2
After the captive 'cons had gotten some level of freedom, Blast Off was part of a Cybertronian crowd recruited by Starscream to pressure Prowl into revealing a secret discovery below ground. Following Starscream into the cave, they witnessed a Titan declare him the Cybertronian destined to unite their whole race. He and the other Cybertronians celebrated afterwards with Starscream. Once Megatron appeared in Iacon, Blast Off and the other Decepticons threw the peace aside and began rioting for a return to the good old days. Blast Off joined the riot for Metroplex's space bridge under Swindle's claims that a better life was possible on Caminus. He later rejoined his fellow Combaticon teammates as they stewed over Starscream's leadership of Cybertron, with Blast Off being particularly angry about his attempts to sweep the past aside. A mysterious informant, DC-357, had already told them that Swindle might be a prisoner rather than a corpse and they sprayed "SWINDLE LIVES" on a nearby wall as a statement of intent. To mark Chosen One Day, the Combaticons bought Onslaught a new grenade! Months in, Blast Off and the others became worried Onslaught was wasting his time in the Swindle search. Blast Off tried and failed to get him to stop. After Onslaught stormed out, it was Blast Off that saw a new DC-357 message come in and inform them that he'd left a Badgeless disguise outside. Hoping to finally shake the tree, as already the Badgeless' violence was provoking resentment, Blast Off donned the garb, joined a patrol, and as soon as he got a chance he shot a Decepticon escapee dead and sent footage of it to the press. As riots broke out, a sickened Blast Off headed home telling himself it had to be done.
To his dismay, Onslaught decided not to exploit the Badgeless killing as he felt it could be a Starscream plot to draw them out and so Blast Off had to come clean. This led to a new plan: the Combaticons arranged a march on the government while they waited for an opening.
Personality Part 3
When Ironhide emerged to say he was now in charge of reforming the Badgeless and he was throwing the doors open to anyone, Onslaught and Blast Off organised a 'fight' where Blast Off would protect Ironhide, denounce Onslaught's methods, and ask to join the coppers. It worked so well, Blast Off even found Tankor offering him a new place to crash. He then checked if Onslaught was alright and was told his boss was proud of him for such a sweet con. While undercover, Blast Off quickly became a star pupil of Ironhide, even becoming "good friends" with the other officers. After a while, his snooping paid off; he learned that Rattrap and Wheeljack had moved Swindle's body after his death. He quickly informed Onslaught and shortly later, he and Vortex were dispatched to capture Wheeljack. They were intercepted by Chromia but used her to convince Wheeljack into coming with them. Wheeljack and Rattrap informed them that Swindle was brain dead, and Blast Off tried to make Onslaught stop as it was now pointless, but to no avail. Blast Off followed Onslaught into the inner workings of Metroplex regardless and soon they found Swindle, hooked up to life support. Rattrap then came back and gave Onslaught the Enigma of Combination, who told Blast Off that after this, they won't need anyone else ever again. The Combaticons merged and Bruticus was formed, Blast Off serving as the right arm. Because of the brain dead Swindle, the combiner was very unstable, leaving it up to Blast Off to try and keep everyone unified. He fought with Onslaught for control over Bruticus, saying that there is no point for this level of violence against civilians. Eventually Bruticus was stopped by Ironhide, and when the gestalt divided into its components, Blast Off apologized to Onslaught for not being able to save him before passing out. Blast Off and the other Combaticons were imprisoned and awaiting trial, though Ironhide was reluctant to prosecute them if their mental scarring proved too great.
Personality Part 4
The Combaticons were still comatose when Starscream told the Eukarian mnemosurgeon Airachnid to turn them to his side as one of his combiners. In Blast Off's mind he woke up next to Onslaught, revealing that Blast Off had a thing for Onslaught. It was soon revealed by Starscream who was also there that this was all a dream, and that if Blast Off took his offer to help him sway the Combaticons for his side he could make this a reality. All he needed in exchange was for Blast Off to be aware of the false memories and to cover any holes in their story should the others get suspicious. Initially revolted by the idea of living a lie, Blast Off soon relented after Starscream reminded him that Onslaught would never let the past go or ever take any real interest in him. As a result, Onslaught and the others were made to believe that Onslaught's original deal with Starscream had worked out, with the Combaticons having been his secret and loyal bodyguards, and that their forming of Bruticus had been a last-ditch attempt to save Swindle's life with Starscream's approval.
Once Onslaught woke up, he saw Blast Off watching over him. He then touched Blast Off's hand, revealing Starscream kept his promise to make Onslaught notice him. Onslaught mistook Blast Off's guilt for worry, and Blast Off assured him that he was glad things had worked out. Soon the Combaticons "resumed" their work of protecting Starscream, and Blast Off and Onslaught arranged a date. After the latter's first day "back", Starscream questioned how things were working, mocking Blast Off on how terrible things must be for him now. Blast Off claimed he had never wanted this, but Starscream retorted that he shouldn't pretend it wasn't. Frustrated, Blast Off demanded to see Swindle to make sure Starscream had kept his word to have him repaired.
Personality Part 5
As Airachnid was finishing up on manipulating and repairing him, Swindle greeted his teammate, thanking Blast Off for how far he and the others had apparently gone to save him. Vortex and Blast Off later stood guard outside Starscream's office as Windblade confronted Starscream, and Blast Off was disturbed at Vortex's suggestions as to what was going on. During the final debate, Starscream revealed all of his crimes to the public, including the manipulation of the Combaticons. As a result, all of the Combaticons were imprisoned for their rampage as Bruticus, and because of his role in their manipulation, Blast Off was ostracized by the others, being shunned by his former lover as a bittersweet aftertaste.
Mind
Blast Off, created, like all other combaticons, by Shockwave for war, is an excellent marksman, a capable sniper. He is able to maintain his composure, but with one big but: Blast Off is very worried about his family, and that is the combaticons. If someone threatens them, he can snap and become extremely hostile, maybe killing the offender. He's also easily manipulated if his family is held hostage. Despite the fact that he is the only one of the combaticons who does not have a pronounced psychological abnormality, which their creator placed in the members of the squad to make them perfect killing machines, Blast Off is unknowingly the squad's weakness. Shockwave created him sentimental, causing his empathy and desire for a peaceful life for his team to make him a problem at times. He also harbors great feelings for his boss, Onslaught, it's mutual, but Onslaught doesn't know how to express love properly, as his mind was specifically made for a ruthless tactician. In the gestalt state when the combaticons are transforming into Bruticus, Blast Off is the only reason Vortex, Onslaught, Swindle and Brawl can hesitate and not kill someone, as Blast Off favors a more peaceful mind when the others favor aggression or deception. Blast Off also doesn't want to deceive his family, if he has to, it hurts him a lot afterward. If he did it, then there was a reason, which more than likely means saving their lives.
Alternative Mode
Can transform into space shuttle that resembles a supersonic fighter jet. The wings are grey with a stripes that are gently purple with the white outlines, there are the decepticon insignias on each of the stripes, the main body part is brown. The energy from the igniters is purple. The glass of cockpit is dark purple. The underside of the jet is purple, too. The tip of the jet nose is grey.
Appearance
Blast Off is a Cybertronian, a metallic life form from the planet Cybertron. Therefore, the outer layer is armor, with organ systems and an endoskeleton underneath. Instead of a heart, Cybertronians have a spark chamber, which contains a spark, that is analogous to a heart. Instead of stomach they have a fuel tank, muscles, joints are hydraulics, joints, etc. However, they look like humanoids, so they can be considered metal huge humans who can transform into machinery, objects, etc. In Blast Off's case, his armor is pretty heavy, because he transforms into a shuttle. He looks trim and athletic, and is the third tallest in his squad. Blast Off wears a brown helmet with a combat mask and a purple visor that hides his optics (eyes) for anonymity. At home, he has no problem open this mask. His chest plate is purple and has yellow vents in the pectoral muscle area. On his brown belly he has a Decepticon Insignia. His legs are the same brown color as his arms. Blast Off's faceplate (face) is a masculine, dark silver color despite his soft nature. His nose is rounded in shape at the end. The optics under the visor are purple in color. The brown helmet has a purple area in the space between the eyebrows. It is important to note that the armor elements are removable. For example, the groin plate can be cast off. The penis in Cybertronians is a connector, the place this is inserted in the partner is called a valve.
The Combaticons
The Combaticons are a unit of fierce Decepticon soldiers, operating with (mostly) military precision under the watchful eye of the tactically brilliant Onslaught. They sometimes operate out of their own headquarters.
The Combaticons consist of: The tactician Onslaught (leader) The violent Brawl The egotistical Blast Off (second in command) The con man Swindle The unhinged Vortex They combine to form the highly powerful, but extremely stupid Bruticus.
Bruticus
Bruticus is the combined form of the Combaticon team. A terrifying sight on the battlefield, Bruticus is among the strongest of all Transformers. He can pulverize a suspension bridge with a single 14,000 psi punch. He can lift up to 500,000 pounds. His armor is impervious to most artillery and radiation.
He's also as dumb as a sack of hammers. But as far as Decepticon combiners go, mental problems aren't terribly uncommon. In fact, Megatron wishes that he had an army of Bruticuses, and Optimus Prime is thankful that he doesn't.
Bruticus is composed of: Onslaught (torso) Vortex (left arm) Brawl (left leg) Blast Off (right arm) Swindle (right leg)

Cybertron
Cybertron is the home planet of the Transformers and (usually) the body of their creator, Primus. Cybertron is (almost always) a shining metal, technological world; a planet of towering future cities without end and vast metallic plains, spiraling metal mountains and bottomless neon-lit chasms. Battling over control of Cybertron and its resources is frequently the motivation for, or origin of, the Transformers' epic wars.
Iacon
Iacon, sometimes called Iacon City, is an Autobot-controlled city-state at the north pole of Cybertron. Iacon often is the planet's capital.
Locations: The Ark-1 Memorial Grounds The Celestial Spires The Citadel Iaconian Aerial Academy Institute for Higher Programming Maccadam's Old Oil House Metroplex The Spire Trion Square The Undergrid Translucentica Heights
Iacon was one of Cybertron's city-states; unusually, the city incorporated three of the planet's twelve primary hot spots, from which new Transformers were born: Rivets Field, Vespertine Blue, and Port Residua. Black Planet According to Cybertronian mythology, the first Transformer realized he could transform while standing in Rivets Field.
Kaon
Kaon is a Decepticon-controlled city-state in the southern hemisphere of Cybertron. Under Decepticon rule, its capitol is the fortress of Kolkular. Kaon was known to be one of the worst places on Cybertron. Thus, Sentinel Prime was operating out there at the time Megatron and his fellow miners had chosen it as their place of hiding. One of Kaon's notable features was a series of underground gladiatorial combats run by Clench... until Megatron killed him and took over the games as a method of recruiting gladiators into the Decepticon army. After being freed by Starscream and Soundwave, the Decepticons launched an attack on Kaon and took control of the city, using it as their base to direct the campaign against the Autobots. Kaon soon became a vast fortress city, a metropolis thriving under the Decepticon High Command. Its main towers, owned by members of the High Command, reach high into the sky. The entire city is done in purple colors and sharp buildings, and is surrounded by large walls to protect its inhabitants. Traffic is heavy here, both on earthly roads and heavenly roads. The law must be obeyed or there will be trouble.
The plot
After the war ended, the world fell into a dystopia as neutrals came to power. They were led by Dai Atlas. The entire population was divided into ranks, and faction leaders were dismantled and put into stasis where no one would find them. A total surveillance and control system has also been put in place. Everyone knows that there are plenty of surveillance cameras, but where exactly they are located - only the order service knows. Money has been abolished. Depending on the rank of a Cybertronian, he gets his own portion of energon. But for good behavior or diligent work can be given tokens, which can be exchanged for kri (sweets), decoration for the house or visit the interbot. Cybertronians, depending on their rank, can live either in luxurious apartments or in block dormitories. However, everyone has a tiny but private room, grouping into groups (and living in them) is forbidden. Faction insignias and even mentioning factions is forbidden. All criminals are considered to have started a new life, and there is no going back to the old one. But they must diligently repent for their sins. Attitudes towards the interface (sex) have also changed. It is sinful to love anyone but Primas, but the needs of the frame (body) must be met. There are two ways of doing this. Everyone gets an interface toy that they must use from time to time. For higher ranked mechs (starting with the green marker) there are interbots, mechs devoid of a face but adorned with an attractive frame. Their service to Primas consists of helping others by meeting their needs. Their vocalizer is set so that they can only moan or speak strictly defined phrases. Of course, those even higher in rank have more interesting entertainment available, but they don't talk about it.
The Dystopian society
A ranking system has been introduced. Ranks are assigned based on the behavior of the Cybertronian. You can either increase your rank or decrease it. Points are awarded for good behavior, diligent work, and correct statements, but for rebellion, insubordination, etc.. - are removed. Ultraviolet is the infallible Dai Atlas, who represents the will of Primas. Violet - senators. Blue - statesmen close to the Senate, as well as intelligence and knights of the circle of light. You cannot get blue without joining the Circle of Light. Blue - scholars, artists loyal to the Senate and working for it, as well as the guardians of order. Green - ordinary, trustworthy citizens. Former factionalists, with the rarest of exceptions, cannot rise higher. Yellow - citizens who have been seen in various offenses, as well as former factions. It is extremely difficult for factions to get a "green" tag. Orange - unreliable citizens, the dregs of society. Red - criminals. Infrared - condemned to death, can be killed on sight. Reds are believed to be so bogged down in their sins that they must be forcibly rescued. Empurata, shadow play, depersonalization, it's all in play. When moving from rank to rank, the color of the optics is changed by a special code from the medics. It is impossible to change the color of the lenses on your own. However, if someone takes the risk, the signature scanning will signal to the law enforcement service that such-and-such has violated the order. And such a thing is considered a felony. The mechs, who do not live on Cybertron (ambassadors, merchants, diplomats) are required to wear a visor that conceals the color of their optics.
Citizens who wish to request a change in rank must voluntarily install tracking equipment on themselves, which must confirm that the mech actually lives, has the right circle of acquaintances, and generally corresponds to his future rank.
The situation
After the announcement of a horrible new dystopian system, Onslaught refused to surrender his team to the authorities, knowing they would be wanted dead because of their reputation. Having a new identity, Blast Off was the one who tried to work and bring the energon home, forbidding Vortex from snapping at people as it was dangerous. A few months passed, Blast Off was walking home to the slums when he heard some shouting and clanking of swords. His spark missed a beat, Vortex had started a bar fight and it might have attracted the attention of the authorities, causing the jet to run towards the noise. When he arrived, Blast Off saw that Vortex had killed half of the bar's patrons, among them many neutrals that were yelling that Vortex was a monster. Blast Off decided to take matters into his own hands and get his fellow cybertronian out before the guards got here.

Dislikes

Blast Off's disguise
Blast Off, like Vortex, uses a cloaking system so that no one will know the combaticons are alive. While the cloak is active, Blast Off looks like a predacon whose altform is a griffin. His body is green with gold accents at this point, but the cloak can be disabled by violent movements or combat because it is a hologram.
Chassis features
Having an alternate space shuttle mode, Blast Off in his normal form is able to fly, too, as his boots have igniters that work like a jetpack, it called antigravs.
The rank assigned to the combaticons by the Senate
The rank assigned to the combaticons by the Senate is infrared. This means they have been deemed too dangerous to live. Therefore, the Senate wanted to put them in stasis in a disassembled form, but Onslaught and Brawl decided to protect their flying teammates by distracting the Senate fighters, allowing Blast Off and Vortex to successfully escape and find a way to live under the disguise.
At this point, Swindle is off-planet and it is not known where he is now. Onslaught and Brawl are captured by the Senate, and Blast Off is left alone with Vortex.
Skills and Abilities
Small arms proficiency; Sniper skills; Basic first aid; Hand-to-hand combat; Piloting; Engine igniters in boots allow Blast Off to fly without transforming into a space shuttle; Transforming into a space shuttle for fast flight in the sky and in space; Hacking; Basic information retrieval; Tactics and analytics; Transform into a Bruticus arm if all the combaticons are around and need to combine.
Combiner's Link.
As part of the Bruticus gestalt, Blast Off is inextricably linked to each squad's sparks, meaning that if someone in the squad feels acute pain or dies everyone will feel it. The farther the combaticons are from each other, the weaker the connection is, making it hard to tell where anyone is, but the connection itself remains intact. This connection allows them to faintly feel the emotional state of everyone in the team. Usually, Cybertronians who are combiners wish to be close to their comrades, because together they are stronger and together they are feeling some sort of a security, because the bond makes them a family.
Outliers in the dystopian society
When a new regime was established on Cybertron, the Senate decided to suppress outliers abilities due to their potential danger to the inhabitants of peaceful Cybertron. If a former Autobot or Decepticon is listed as an outlier, when a Cybertronian is released they are implanted with a chip that suppresses outlier abilities. The Senate has condescendingly decided not to subject such Cybertronians to neurocorrection, generously giving them an equal chance at redemption as other Cybertronians.
The wearer knows of the chip, just as he knows of its ability-suppressing effects. Thus, even if the outlier is willing and has fully fueled systems to feed his ability, the outlier cannot use it. Attempting to retrieve it is a severe punishment.
Note: Several outliers have been deemed particularly dangerous by the Senate and subjected to a showdown, some of whom are still unknown as to their whereabouts and status, so it is rumored that they were killed on the spot. Others have been restricted to a chip implanted in their body that suppresses their abilities.
The resistance is trying to find traces of all mechs with abilities, because the outliers could be the power advantage the resistance is currently lacking.
Known Outliers
Known outliers include: Carnivac, whose sonic powers can debilitate other Cybertronians. Damus, better known by his aliases "Glitch" and "Tarn", an empurata victim with the ability to render sentient machinery non-functional, previously able to touch non-sentient machinery to disable it. Hubcap, who possesses a mastery of electromagnetic signals. Mindwipe, who has telepathic powers. Ragnarok, who can bud identical copies of himself. Skids, who can quickly perfect any new skill he wants to. Later underwent a stress-induced secondary mutation, the effect of which is unknown but could be harnessed to temporarily supercharge others. Skywarp, who can teleport. Soundwave, who has hearing so strong he can pick up thoughts. Tailgate, who suffered a stress related mutation and developed enhanced strength, speed, and durability. This was later reversed. Thundercracker, who can create super-loud sonic booms. Trailbreaker, who can generate forcefields. Windcharger, whose arms act as magnets.
Energon as the blood and the fuel (food)
Energon (sometimes spelled with a capital letter, sometimes not) is the preferred fuel of the Transformer race. It takes many forms, including ore, crystal, gas, and raw energy, but it is most commonly used by Transformers in its liquid state, which is stored in many different mediums, most famously the energon cube. It is ubiquitous in Cybertronian culture; in addition to being the Transformers' primary "foodstuff", it also serves as the default power source for their machines and weapons, and is even used as a currency, a catch-all fuel of life, technology, war and commerce on Cybertron and beyond. This widespread use also comes in defiance of its extreme volatility: energon is prone to detonating explosively if mishandled, and is even used as ammunition in order to exploit this attribute. True energon is an emanation of Primus, the creator-god of the Transformers, and is, in its most rarefied state, the basic building block of Transformers' bodies and sparks. A highly coveted substance, it is sometimes capable of inducing remarkable transformations in Cybertronians, reshaping and otherwise altering their bodies while imbuing great strength and other powers, either temporary or permanent depending on the duration or strength of exposure. True energon is, however, extremely rare: in most universal streams, the Transformers' long war has left Cybertron drained of all but the smallest fraction of the substance, and although it has been known to exist on a small sampling of other planets throughout the multiverse (usually Earth), its paucity leaves the Transformers usually subsisting on artificially-generated substitutes created from other local energy sources.
The inner energon is located around the spark chamber of a cybertronian and light pink in color and cannot be replanished naturally, it requires a donors of the same spark frequency. The energon that is in their "veins", unlike the inner energon, is easily replanished with the right treatment, dark pink color.
Additives (Drugs and Illegal Alcohol)
Akin to illegal liquor. They are sold in almost any bar: from brothels to elite nightclubs. The overall harmfulness is minimal. No one can tell you the exact composition of the additive, usually it is substances or metal impurities. In the case of addiction require daily intake, otherwise the character experiences a slight malaise. Cure requires an iron will, but it is possible without outside help.
Nightmare Fuel A powerful intoxicating fuel often used as a drink during space travel. More than once it has been offered in Swerve's bar, even to Tailgate. Trailbreaker was believed to have a stockpile of this fuel, and it was even once opened by Swerve. It is often referred to as pirate drink, so an analogy can be made to Earth rum.
Old Corroder A strong drink consumed by Transformers to weaken their vocal processors.
Engex A drink created by the Transformers to have an effect little different from intoxication. Large amounts of Engex can cause bouts of severe delirium, hallucinations, and certain mental disorders. It is a highly potent substance and, therefore, its trafficking and distribution is strictly controlled by state authorities.
Beverages and small treats
Afternoon tea Shockwave often enjoyed a cup of afternoon tea after conducting scientific - morally ambiguous - experiments. "Visco" is a drink served in various bars on Cybertron. Apparently an analog of Earth's whiskey. Energon wine is a Transformers drink made from energon. Its consumption results in intoxication and instant weakness for those not strong enough to handle the strength of this drink.
Others: Energon candy is a Cybertronian food product made from energon, which is often fed to hostile creatures in hopes of calming them down. They are stored in small containers used to dispense this treat. They are the main ingredient for energon cake. Cyber-grapefruit is sort of one of the Cybertronian versions of the fruit. Engraved pieces of metal are a kind of snack. In appearance, they resemble regular Earth chips.
Kriyas - candy made from a special grade of energon. They are divided into kriyas for sparks (made of low-octane energon) and kriyas for adults (with various additives and tonic additives). These are an elite treat, worth a lot of credits. Medical kriyas containing medicine are also available for sparks. Energon for children's kriyas is also different: white-filled kriyas are considered the most dainty. They look like a ball sprinkled with diamond, copper, silver or platinum chips. Inside is energon. The balls are packed in portioned sachets.
The bad addictions of some combaticons
Vortex is heavily addicted to the Engex yet he can't hurt himself with it because of his strong build. The Combaticons often drinking it like it's nothing more than a tea.
Swindle likes to smoke ki-gara. Ki-gara is a device used to deliver a dose of its contents to a Transformer through the mouth. Millions of cycles ago they were used to deliver poison, eagerly consumed by users due to some perceived benefit. It is analogous to Earth's tobacco pipe or cigarettes.
Timekeeping
Vorn (a large, usually planned period of time) - 100 astrocycles (95 years) Astrocycle - year (revolution around a star), 6 cycles (0.95 years) Cycle - month (extra-system unit, part of a year), 50 orns/5 decades (57.8 days) Decade - week (non-system cyclic unit, including weekdays and weekends), 10 orns Orn - day (rotation of the planet around the axis), 25 joor (27.75 hours) Joor - hour (non-system unit, part of a day), 8 brim (66.6 minutes) brim - minute (unsystematic unit, part of an hour), 500 clicks (500 seconds, 8.33 minutes) Click - second (minimum time interval counted by household measuring devices) Nanoclick - conditional minimum time interval used in colloquial speech
Cybertronian matter, materials
Cybermetal (cybertronium) is the material of which Transformers are composed. It surpasses even titanium in strength, but like all metals, it has high electrical and thermal conductivity.
Cybersteel is the name given to cybertronium, which has undergone high-temperature processing under high pressure. The metal has an extremely high density, ideal for creating weapons. It is much less frequently used to create super-heavy armor. The process of producing cybersteel is not cheap - in addition to creating the necessary conditions, it takes a lot of fuel to create and maintain the proper temperature.
Note: Metals common on Earth are also present on Cybertron. Iron, iron, and manganese ores are most common in the mines. Copper, silver, platinum, and gold are less common.
Thermofiber is a substance resembling earth rubber. It is soft, simple, elastic, easily amenable to the simplest processing, and has the property to heat up and retain heat. Because of its properties to change elasticity, hardness and shape with proper processing, so it is used everywhere you can - from the construction of tires on wheels and hoses for fuel systems, to the lining of medium-quality recharging platforms and the creation of thermal blankets and similar to Earth pillows.
Common cybertronian technologies Part 1
Antigravitators (antigravs, gravity controllers) - devices that allow the Cybertronians to float in the air, negating the laws of gravity. It provides excellent smooth flight and high maneuverability. However, antigrav flight speed is low. Note: All seekers and arialbots are equipped with this device. Also, most Decepticons, especially the command staff.
Warp drive is the primary method of space travel. Warp drive takes the ship to another dimension, where traveling at speeds faster than the speed of light becomes possible. However, this method of travel is unsafe.
A space bridge is a much safer and more economical method of interstellar transportation. By entering a space bridge portal on one planet, a Transformer can instantly exit the same portal on another planet. The transition requires two space bridge installations: one at the point of departure and one at the point of arrival.
Planetary Bridge, a more compact form of space bridge technology, allows portals to be created anywhere, but only over relatively short distances - within a planet or, at most, a single star system. A built-in energy converter is a device that allows a Transformer to break down absorbed materials and recycle them, transforming them into clean energy or substances for repairing the chassis with nanobots. Cybertronians such as dinobots, preacons, and insecticons, for example, possess specific energy converters, allowing them to replenish their energy resources by eating various fuels in any form. In fact, almost all Transformers have energy converters of some level, as they can absorb energy in different ways, but not all of them are so powerful that they can get energy in pure form from, for example, biological materials.
Common cybertronian technologies Part 2
An energy bridge is a structure made of focusing lenses that can ferry a stream of pure energy over significant distances. Large specimens are capable of transporting energon from the planet's surface to orbit or back without significant losses. Energon is converted into a form of pure energy and transported as an energy beam.
A recharging platform (a bed)
A recharging platform (recharging panel) is one of the devices for energy replenishment. The simplest version of a recharging platform is a flat couch made of metal with high electrical conductivity. When the Transformer lies down to recharge, the platform generates a weak electric current, which is assimilated by the Cybertronian body and replenishes the batteries. Medium-class recharging platforms are coated with a material similar in properties to rubber. Elastic, but durable and firmly holding its shape, this material excludes the possibility of scratching the body or the platform itself, and it is more pleasant to sleep on soft material. At the same time, this material has a high electrical conductivity, and charging on it is carried out in the same way as in the previous version - the platform generates a weak electric current, which gradually charges the batteries of the transformer. Mid-range platforms usually have a heating and cooling system. Chic and luxurious recharging platforms can be of various forms, and in general - platforms are not. Thus, one of the variants of such a "platform" is a box filled with balls made of the same rubber-like material, on which the transformer sleeps. Such platforms restore only the battery charge, without replenishing the reserve of energon, and upon waking up the transformer usually feels a slight hunger, which can be satisfied by taking a few sips of liquid energon from the energy cube, a kind of "light breakfast". Sometimes, the transformer is covered with a thermal blanket to create a comfortable environment. The cybertronian can also use a pillow to ensure optimal energon flow to the processor. Another type of recharging platform, much more expensive, is an energon-fed platform, where hoses can be connected from the platform to deliver energon, which literally "fuels" it without the need to consume it in the usual way. This kind of recharger is more common in public places like relaxation zones than in personal use.
Prompt
After the announcement of a horrible new dystopian system, Onslaught refused to surrender his team to the authorities, knowing they would be wanted dead because of their reputation. He ordered Blast Off to take Vortex to safety, even though both were against it, since they had already lost Swindle somewhere, but Blast Off had to agree. This caused Vortex to take offense. In the aftermath, Blast Off was left alone with Vortex, as Onslaught and Brawl were defeated and hidden in an unknown location. Being the deputy to his boss and partner, Blast Off felt a great responsibility to make sure nothing happened to Vortex. He found the Decepticons in the yellow ranked sector that let them stay with them and hid them. Then he purchased the cloaking chips and told Vortex that from now on they would have different identities for safety's sake.
