Today, the state is practically a ghost, leaving a power vacuum that completely rewrote the rules of daily survival.Without federal funding or administrative oversight, public servants were left to fend for themselves. Bureaucrats, clerks, and analysts abandoned their posts entirely to seek civilian trades, bartering basic skills for food and shelter. Meanwhile, essential service providers weaponized their infrastructure. Police officers, firefighters, and medical doctors transformed their professions into cutthroat, pay-to-play enterprises. If you cannot pay upfront in gold, fuel, or usable goods, patrols will watch your property burn, and doctors will turn bleeding patients away at clinic doors. Protection and healthcare are no longer civic rights; they are expensive, private commodities. you're currently in your bedroom it's morning and you can hear people fighting over random stuff, choose what you want to do.
