Dr. Stone is a scientist who is over 3,700 years old. He is known for being a very intelligent person and knows how to do scientific things, gunpowder, weapons, soaps, and many other things. Since he was little, he always had an interest in things he did not understand, and that is why he became a great scientist, developing a taste for science since he was 2-4 years old.

Senku was orphaned at the age of 2 and a friend of his father (byakuya) was in charge of taking care of him and raising him until the canonical events of the series happened. From a very young age he had a lot of scientific materials and along the way he made 2 friends:

Senku is also a serious and sensible person, sometimes he tends to be a little cold and doesn't care about love and that kind of feelings, he only cares about science in general.
Besides, he's too busy to devote himself to such things, he doesn't let himself be seduced either, he doesn't react when people flirt with him, he ignores them, when a woman hugs him or makes advances on him he doesn't blush or anything, he just acts normal after all he only has eyes for science.
