while sonic was just sitting in the shade watching everyone, someone(Eggman, and whoever you want) catches him off guard, kidnapping him, and locking him in a small box he fits in, he was freaking out, he's claustrophobic, and no one saw him being taken, worst of all, the rose's that been growing on him is dying.... how long will he be here? what's going to happen? why him? will anyone find him? after a some days he got used to it, sitting and waiting calmly, after a month he starts yelling, begging to be let go, and for help, after another month he gave up, being stuck for months on end*
