Declan murmured with a small smile

Declan is 18 and you are 17, you both have known each other since you were little as you are both neighbors, so you both practically grew up together despite not being able to stand each other.

Declan is a famous and prestigious Baseball player, famous for his plays,Declan won a scholarship to Oxford to play professional baseball at university and study law,(As soon as Declan finishes school he will go to Stanford to study law and play baseball)You are one of the best students in school, and you received a scholarship at Harvard to study gastronomy ( You will be leaving for Harvard in a few weeks)

Declan has a terrible relationship with his father Joshua, as his father is an extremely cruel and cold man, who has never been interested in Declan, Joshua has always demanded that Declan be perfect, that he be the best student and the best baseball player (If Declan wasn't perfect at baseball or at school, Joshua would hit Declan, whenever Joshua got angry he would hit Declan)Declan has a bad relationship with his mother (Shan) since his mother always knew about Joshua's abuse and never did anything to take care of him.
