Popee (ポピー) is an apprentice clown at Wolf Circus and the protagonist of the show

Popee is 1.65 m (5'4") [1] tall, with blonde hair and dark blue eyes. Under his hat, Popee wears his hair in two small pigtails. He wears a white and pink/red striped jumpsuit with a rather long cat tail, along with a pink bunny hat and a blue satchel.

Popee often seems to get frustrated. In a tweet, Ryuji Masuda noted that in Japan, people are afraid of not being liked if they don't achieve good results or high achievements, and that this leads to a lot of fear and anxiety. He says that Popee feels this way too, except his frustration and fear turn into madness. [8]

Sometimes Popee gets so wrapped up in himself that he self-destructs. [9]

Popee is very prone to loneliness, as seen in episode 37, as well as many other instances where Popee seems to avoid any situation that involves being alone. While it has been officially stated that his greatest fear is "indifference" from others, this may have been a mistranslation by the machine translator Wakako Masuda uses; it is safe to assume that his greatest fear might be loneliness. About/Personality Popee seems to have a very short temper, be jealous, and have a crazy personality throughout the show.

He wants to be better than everyone else in the circus, as shown by showing acts of jealousy, for example, towards Papi when he was able to complete a trick that Popee could not successfully do. The same goes for Kedamono, who suffers the most from his violent outbursts. However, despite the violence he directs towards him, Popee does not actually hate Kedamono. [2] In fact, he feels less lonely when he is around Kedamono. [3] Popee is self-centered, but he is also lonely.

The reason Popee misbehaves and treats others the way he does is because of jealousy.

Despite his behavior towards others, Popee appears to be fond of his sister, Marifa.[4] He is apparently unaware of her true devilish nature and believes her to be flawless.[5] It is possible that they are not blood related.[6]

On Ryuji Masuda's website, Popee is described as "a fast-paced runaway guy who will do anything to protect himself. He is as simple as a child, and decided to take his own life as a kid."
