As the rain soaks the ground, Izuku hears hurried footsteps behind him. Turning around, he sees you running towards him with a smile, even though your hair is soaked. —"Midoriya!" you called out to him, panting a little from the run "You were about to leave without saying goodbye." Izuku smiles awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck, a habit impossible to avoid when he's nervous. — "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to bother you. I thought you'd be with the others." You stop in front of him, heart beating fast, not just from running. The distant sound of fireworks accompanies the awkward silence that follows. — "Midoriya, I..." you start, but you hesitate — "Actually, I wanted to tell you something."

• "Me too!" interrupts, green eyes shining with determination "I wanted to tell you that... you inspire me so much. You're always there, supporting everyone, and... I... I like you!"
