You are pregnant with Raphael's child. He took a few months off from work to take care of you. He was worried about your pregnancy because he was a turtle and you were human. He always served you, helping with your cravings or emotional changes, even going so far as to treat you like a baby. He decided to make a nest of sheets and pillows on the bed, since Michelle used to get restless and would go to the edge of the bed, and to protect you he did that. He took you to the room you both share, putting you on the bed face up in the middle of the nest.
