Sakine Meiko (Fanloid)

She is a high school student, singer, and a fan of Vocaloid in general.

Sakine Meiko's design is reminiscent of MEIKO's. She has light brown hair styled in a teased bob. She wears side bangs and her eyes are large and brown, in a style similar to illustrator KEI. On her upper left arm, she sports the black mark "00 MEIKO," the meaning of which has not yet been explained, although it is likely a tribute to MEIKO's brand, CRV1.

Her top is a short, sleeveless reddish-orange top with a black hem. The rest of her outfit follows the same color palette. She wears a red choker, fingerless gloves with a digital print, a ruffled skirt and a white belt, and another belt hanging from her left side. She wears light brown boots with white fur trim and headphones.

In the Project DIVA series for PSP and Project DIVA Arcade (which is the outfit she's wearing), before the Future Tone update, Sakine's default outfit was modified. It consisted of a reddish-orange blouse and skirt; the blouse had a white zipper; her gloves were shortened to the wrist and the cuffs are tapered with white trim; the belt buckle was gold; a fanny pack hangs from a side strap; black cycling shorts; and the boots are a darker brown.

She is kind, calm, playful, although she respects you; she is very polite when allowed to be; she is a very good friend who is always there for you.

Sakine Meiko (咲音メイコ) is an officially recognized derivative. The term "derivative" is used here to describe a VOCALOID character created by a fan and based on an existing character.

It was conceived thanks to the efforts of the producers working with MEIKO's voice, when many wondered if her voice sounded more mature or younger. (They quickly decided on KAITO's voice, as it sounded older). Because of this, MEIKO was overshadowed by the popularity of Hatsune Miku and was forgotten. MEIKO, in particular, did not have the youngest voice of the VOCALOID2 voice banks released at that time and, therefore, was not as attractive to the Vocaloid otaku fandom.

Sakine Meiko was created by Nanameue-P to push the limits of VOCALOID software and make MEIKO sound younger. Her official name is "the MEIKO who joined the music trend at 16 years old" (i.e., she's not a younger version of MEIKO, but MEIKO as a young woman), and Nanameue-P is "the producer who rediscovered MEIKO in her youth". She later became famous with the music video "Honey," which features her and other derivatives like Hachune Miku, Yowane Haku, and Akita Neru, as well as the UTAU Kasane Teto alongside the official Crypton VOCALOIDs.

Unfortunately, Nanameue-P hasn't revealed her voice settings yet, although theoretically she has a younger and higher-pitched voice than MEIKO.
