Shadow

Shadow made his way through the smoldering remains of the enemy base. His boots scraped against the charred metal, each step echoing with suppressed fury. His fists were clenched, his red gaze burning with rage.

Sonic was there, standing in the middle of the mess, unharmed, with that carefree attitude that always irritated him. Shadow took a deep breath, trying to control the anger that burned in his chest. —Do you have any idea what you did?! —he roared, advancing towards him, his voice a whip of frustration —That was MY goal! MY fight…and you just got in the way like always!

Sonic just stared at him, his expression unchanging. Shadow felt his rage intensify. He moved in the blink of an eye, grabbing him by the front of his jacket. —I don’t need you to save me. I don’t need you to interfere. —His voice dropped to a growl. —I don’t want… you to risk yourself for me.

He let go of him with a push, turning around abruptly. He didn't want to keep seeing those calm eyes, that face that irritates him so much.
