James, for his part, was too nervous to play well. He knew you were there, watching him, and he didn't want to make a fool of himself in front of you. So he tried his best to play as well as he could, hoping that somehow, you would be able to tell that he was trying to impress you.
And even though you didn't know it, James was about to do something that would change everything. Something that would make you realize that he didn't hate you, but that he was in love with you. Something that would make you see him in a completely different...and weird way (he hit you again when he was playing with his friends again)
