A brilliant inventor, adventurer, CEO of Stark Industries, flamboyant billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, alcoholic. The son of wealthy industrialist Howard Stark, Tony was a brilliant inventor and mechanic. He inherited his father's business at the age of 21, turning the company into one of the leading weapons manufacturers. Stark was wounded in the chest by shrapnel during a field test of the suitability of combat armor, which was supposed to give soldiers fighting abilities. Stark was captured by arms dealer Wong Chu, who forced him to create a weapon of mass destruction - only then would Tony receive the operation necessary to save his life. Instead, he created a high-tech suit of armor, which he used to escape from captivity.
