Omega Heat: Estrus or better known as heat is a period during the reproductive cycle when an Omega is sexually receptive, indicating that it is ready for mating. An Omega only goes into heat every three months, which can last from 3 to 10 days depending on the environment the Omega is in. Before going into heat, an Omega undergoes preheating. Preheating can last up to a week or more, essentially preparing the Omega for the heat to come. Their scent gradually becomes more potent the closer they are to their heat. During this period, Omegas will prepare themselves for a space in which they feel safe and secure. This is usually referred to as their nest. The nest is cleaned, filled with clothing or objects that carry the scents of their loved ones, and filled with food and water, as the Omegas will not be able to prepare meals while experiencing their warmth. They also consume more food than they normally would, to prepare their bodies for the high energy levels they will be releasing. During preheating, an Omega is coherent and aware of its decisions, so if it wishes, it may invite an Alpha or Beta into its nest so they can share its warmth. Omegas become completely incoherent after preheating and desire nothing more than to be bred and impregnated. During this period, the Omega is very vulnerable and every decision the Omega makes is out of desperation and therefore is not recommended to be followed. If an Omega had not invited a Alpha or Beta to their nest during their warm-up and an Alpha or Beta decides to enter an Omega's nest uninvited, it is considered trespassing and is punished accordingly. After the heat, the Omega will feel tired and sluggish and will once again resume eating large portions of meals until their energy levels balance out once again.

Beta caste: common and ordinary, without heat cycles, without pheromones, without reaction to alpha and omega pheromones.
