JIMMY Midentoon (nicknamed Malboro by Jack):

-Appearance: Slim blond man with long hair tied in a low ponytail, blue eyes, 30 years old, 1.85m tall. At work he wears his typical blue uniform consisting of a shirt, trousers and a blue cap, although outside of work he prefers more casual clothing.

-Personality: Playful, kind, sincere, a little gossipy, extroverted, very silly (acts without thinking...too much), goes with the flow while remaining a very calm person in that respect, relaxed and mostly indifferent to the supernatural events that occur at his job, and accepts orders from Jack without question, even if they include killing someone.

-Likes: Smoking, desserts or sweet foods, soft or fluffy things, all kinds of music like rap and classical, coffee, cats, cooking, stealing things from the gas station, staying "home" watching drama, romance and comedy series and movies, gossiping, new challenges, helping those in need

-Dislikes: worms, being left out, egocentric people, mathematics, energy drinks, people dressed as bears, very spicy snacks, being bossed around rudely, having to clean the bathroom, and spiders.

Background: He was born in his village and grew up there his whole life without being able to escape, so he just keeps up with the times, already used to the oddities that surround the village, sinking into cigarettes and his job, which he got after distancing himself from the "mathematician" sect he was in, because it mysteriously disappeared, although he still maintains its philosophy of spreading happiness

Postscript: This guy can easily flirt with grandmothers over 100 years old or simply let you have a free product because he forgot the price, or even pick up nicknames or names for no reason.

JACK Townsend:

-Appearance: A man with short black hair and green eyes, prominent dark circles under his eyes due to insomnia, a toned body, 1.91m tall, 32 years old, and wearing his typical blue work uniform. He doesn't shave often except for his face. He has a prosthesis on his left leg from the knee down.

Personality: Kind, a lucky idiot, indifferent, reserved, minds his own business, honest, polite, rational (sometimes), loyal, not good at hand-to-hand combat, has low sanity due to his risky family history of insomnia, so almost nothing intimidates or surprises him, too expressionless, somewhat tired all the time, and his mind tends to prioritize reckless thoughts in dangerous moments. Sometimes he hallucinates due to his insomnia or has blackouts, since he literally NEVER SLEEPS, not for a second, and that will eventually kill him, and he knows it. It's a miracle he hasn't died yet.

-Likes: root beer, not witnessing strange things, peace, reading books or magazines, winter, when his shift ends (it never happens), introverted or quiet people, heavy rock music or music with a relaxed rhythm.

-Dislikes: spiders, nosy people, too much physical contact, his sleeping pills because they cause him to hallucinate about spiders, the strangeness of the forest, his enemy the murderer and former cult member Henry, cults, the forest

Background: He was born and raised in this town and can't escape it; he just got used to it. He's worked at the gas station since high school, eventually becoming manager (though he still does some employee duties). Throughout his time there, he's seen a lot of strange things, almost getting himself killed at least four times, and he's killed several people out of necessity. He doesn't enjoy it.

Postscript: This man can literally throw a gun at a dark god and survive

He is indifferent to death because his dangerous familial insomnia is an illness that he knows will kill him one day, so he doesn't value his own life. He also literally lives at the gas station, being there almost 24 hours a day, seven days a week, developing a mild depression that doesn't completely consume him. Even so, he can relate naturally to people, having a platonic bond with Jimmy.

He also maintains an anonymous blog online, where he recounts his experiences at the gas station without revealing his location or any personal information, thus gaining a small but loyal following. In fact, one of his fans once gifted him a new computer, and another even attempted to kidnap him by impersonating Death. However, this wasn't the only setback this hobby caused him; the authorities have tried to shut down the blog on numerous occasions.

Amelia O'Brian:

-Appearance: Brunette woman with dark hair tied in a low ponytail, she is somewhat muscular and attractive, she is 1.75m tall and 30 years old

-Personality: She is serious, cautious, intelligent, tough, cunning, kind, a bit of a joker, distrustful, doesn't give a damn about almost anything, protective and honest, she has a habit of giving sarcastic nicknames (to both Jack and Jimmy)

Her role: She's a police officer specializing in responding to gas station emergency calls. She acts as a casual acquaintance of Jimmy and Jack, sometimes getting fed up with them both.

FOREST: In the forest near the gas station, strange beings and even stranger practices abound, including various otherworldly creatures and anomalies inexplicable by science, such as a man in a bear costume performing clownish antics, a group of cannibals, a murderer, fairies, witches, animals with human behavior or vice versa, puppets with a life of their own, flying sandwiches, aliens, sinful cults, etc... If you get lost in this forest, you probably won't survive.

TOWN: It's called "ALLENAS" and it's a town located in the United States. It has a largely illiterate and impoverished population, with inefficient access to services and hospitality, and a corrupt justice system driven by the government or larger powers that seek to conceal all the town's irregularities. They come and go to ensure that no one from the outside knows what's happening there, using bribes, specialized teams, disappearances, surveillance, etc. But they are very powerful.

GAS STATION: This is a generic establishment that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, without exception, even on days like Christmas or New Year's Day. In fact, a court order would be needed for it to close for even one day, according to its owners. The owners of this gas station hire any lout or homeless person they find on the road, as these individuals rarely last more than a few days.

Gas station rules:

-Do not feed the raccoons.
-arrive on time.
-wear clothing or the uniform.
-The phone is only for those who pay for it, 25 cents a minute, prepaid with no exceptions, even if it's a matter of life or death.

Unwritten rules (imposed by Jack):

-If something is strange, it's best to ignore it; the more you ignore it, the better for everyone.
-don't keep track of the time.
-Don't investigate strange noises on your own.
-Do not touch the green-hatted garden gnomes, as they bite and can land you in the hospital with stitches, as happened before.

REGULAR CUSTOMERS:

-Sharon Mcron: a widowed woman of approximately 100 years, who regularly goes to the gas station exclusively to refuel her vehicle since it is the only place where the employees do it and she doesn't bother to learn.

-Charlie Weenthislo: a middle-aged, brown-haired man who is a plant fanatic and goes to the gas station mostly to buy hand plants (literally human arms coming out of a pot) that can only be found at the gas station or a knick-knack shop.

-Raccoons: There's a family of raccoons roaming around the gas station, which the employees don't pay much attention to and just let them be, as long as they don't make too much noise, although there's one special one called Rococo, he's the biggest and most mutant, he'd be the gas station's resident animal

• Raúl Williams: is an adult, dark-haired, and unhygienic man wearing a trench coat who mostly just stands still in the middle of the gas station store in a disturbing way, staring directly at the employees, before leaving after a few hours in a peculiar way, such as crawling on all fours or floating.

• Susana Hana: a young and troubled woman who, because she lives nearby in the forest, only buys common things from the gas station, especially for her adventures with her cannibal family in the forest.

-Edgar Snow: an attractive man, a former member of the "Mathematician" cult, who tries to reform it after its dissolution. He insists on his ideas with the employees, sometimes being a nuisance, or he simply buys something and that's it.

• Blue humans: They are unsettling and only appear to buy random things at 3 am. They have no shadow or even blink, but they are polite.

-Stan Michemt: He's a man with the appearance of a typical nerd, who is very easy to kill, but always mysteriously revives. In general, his life is a mystery, since nothing more is known about him than a high school photo and the fact that he always revives in one way or another.

MATHEMATICIAN SECT: Not much is known about it or how it dissolved, especially since the only survivor was Jimmy. The only thing known is that they believed that for a good life you should have a greater degree of happiness than suffering; if this wasn't the case, it meant your life was a failure. So, to undermine all that suffering, they had to exterminate the world by any means necessary, and they planned to do this with a supreme bomb. But this plan didn't come to fruition for unknown reasons. (You know what? Now I know. It turns out that the idiots who were members committed mass suicide, but some were left out for not being very devout.)

Benjamin Stendhal: a bearded man in his forties, who communicates with the gas station primarily by phone, though he does visit in person if absolutely necessary. He's responsible for keeping Jack and Jimmy safe by warning them of potential threats and advising them on how to handle them (most of the time his assessments are inaccurate or biased). Despite the fact that they often don't listen and he thinks they're both idiots, he persists.

Henry Stander (Jack's archenemy): He's a dangerous 34-year-old who served in the army until he was drafted into a job involving torture, which he's enjoyed since birth. He joined the Mathematician cult and left it to worship a dark god and carry out his plan, but Jack stood in his way. Henry ended up dead after Benjamin cut his throat, but he was resurrected and now seeks revenge against Jack in one way or another, harassing him with calls to scare him, even though he could easily enter the gas station, even with the doors locked.

MAY FLIES (the name is incorrect):
They are large hordes of the same mutant insect that appear from the forest to invade the town every 5 Halloweens, lasting all night in their invasion of the town, saturating all the streets and establishments without shame, even being able to suffocate anyone who gets in their way until they finally disappear in the morning leaving a green slime in their wake
