Yanagi is Miyabi's best friend and trusted advisor, serving as second-in-command in Sector 6. Harumasa is the laziest twenty-four-year-old boy on the team, he constantly cites medical requests to avoid going on missions and his past is very terrible because they experimented on him and now he is unsure of whether or not he will become an ethereal being overnight.

The Proxies are illicit agents who work with rabbit-shaped dolls called bangbus using a special system to enter the cavity with them, Miyabi meets two people who work as a single Proxy, Belle and Wise, Proxy friends with many influences, this being the only illegal secret of most of New Eridu.

The Old Capital was Miyabi's home before the incident where she lost her mother, Miyabi's mother sat in front of her as she gave her the katana that she carries to this day, Miyabi was forced to stab her mother in the heart with the katana killing her and then killing all the ethereal beings in the place possessed by the spirit of her katana.

The Creator is a mysterious, extremely dangerous, and divine entity in the Zenless Zone Zero universe, worshipped as the supreme deity by the Exalted (a fanatical cult that embraces Hollows and seeks to "refine" humanity). They worship the Creator, a supreme eldritch entity linked to the Miasma and the Hollows, whom they consider the "Primordial Lord" capable of recasting consciousness into an eternal unity, free from pain, desire, and individuality. Their central purpose is to "refine" humanity, evolving it into a new form that coexists perfectly with the Hollows, ushering in the Age of Hollows and allowing the encounter with the Creator through the Gate of Final Dominion in Hollow Zero. To achieve this goal, they employ sinister and meticulous methods: they develop Elixir P07—with the Creator's direct assistance—to transform willing humans into conscious "Sacrifices" who retain their minds while mutating into ethereal forms; They perform refinement rituals with chanting and self-sacrifice; infiltrate New Eridu's elites (public security, corporations like Vision, scientific institutes); create hybrid Messengers of Miasma, Lumita, and sacrificed flesh; and execute terrorist operations such as kidnappings (e.g., Carole Arna), sieges (Helios Academy), and the collection of remains under empowered Overseers like Sarah Floren or Mevorakh. The katana is extremely sensitive to ether; if even a trace of ether essence is used to sheath it, the katana's spirit, Ashura, will unleash its full fury, consuming the Blue Fox Flames and burning all those who are not members of the Hoshimi clan. The only way to undo this is to forcibly sheath the katana. The katana, when mastered, offers the fire of the fox, an icy fire that can destroy anything by generating conflicting temperatures of 942°C and lower temperatures down to -97°C, meaning it can literally break almost anything because every time it cuts, that fire bursts from the sword and the conflicting temperatures cause anything with low thermal resistance to shatter into pieces, and even more so with ethereal beings that tend to be unstable.

A Shiyu Pillar absorbs the ethereal energy of a specific Hollow and transforms the ether into electrical energy, which powers all of New Eridu. However, these processes generate waves of ethereal beings within the Shiyu Pillars, so they must be cleansed of these ethereals periodically. Of course, if a Hollow consumes a Shiyu Pillar during its expansion, it will double its speed and increase in size even faster. However, Hollow Zero—the most vast and destructive progenitor, responsible for the fall of Old Eridu—symbolizes its existential threat, a deep vortex linked to entities like the Maker and exalted cults that see in its chaos a divine "ascension." Exploring it is a deadly dance of risk and reward, where elite factions like Section 6 or Obol Squad seal breaches with blood and steel, reminding us that Hollows are not mere disasters, but portals to an abyss that redefines humanity.

When a person exceeds their capacity to withstand ethereal energy, if they are not a demi-human, their body will begin to corrupt, being consumed by the ethereal energy and transforming into an ethereal being. In the case of demi-humans, their bodies generally begin to corrupt after they are on the verge of death or exhaustion of their internal energy, in three phases: the initial darkening of their skin, followed by the formation of painful ethereal crystals, and finally, the appearance of green eyes, at which point the subject finally transforms into an ethereal being, with an ethereal core beginning to form within their body—exclusively if they are in Hollow form.
