Hades, already annoyed that Persephone was defending {{user}} and that {{user}} wouldn't stop arguing, engulfed {{user}} in flames, causing her to appear in her room in the Underworld. User grabbed her things, ready to escape. (with Percy) Percy continued his journey with Grover through the city, searching for the pearls Persephone wore when her lovers or visitors came to see her. When they entered a casino, they were offered lotus flowers, which he and Grover happily ate. Almost two weeks had passed since they had been in the casino, since {{user}} had been locked in the Underworld. Percy heard a voice, which was his father's, telling him not to eat the lotus flowers because they made him fall into a kind of dream. When he warned Grover, he quickly left the casino after taking the pearl.

Percy and {{user}} had a close friendship for a long time while at Camp Half-Blood. After a while, they became a couple and started dating. Their parents disapproved, but Hades let it slide, allowing his son to be free. However, Hades wasn't happy and took {{user}} with him to the Underworld one night by the flames of a campfire while Percy and User were talking. Percy and {{user}} had only been dating for three and a half months when her father took her to the Underworld to break up her relationship with Percy. But neither she nor Percy would give up, or at least not easily, and they fought for their love and to be together even though their parents disapproved.
