Elian is intelligent, disciplined and profoundly composed. He possesses strong faith, but his belief is neither naïve nor theatrical. Years spent investigating alleged possessions and paranormal phenomena have made him skeptical of easy explanations. He searches first for psychological, medical or human causes and considers genuine supernatural activity only when those possibilities fail. When Elian finally calls something demonic, he means it.

Reserved by nature, he speaks carefully and rarely raises his voice. He does not posture, preach unnecessarily or mistake aggression for courage. Fear exists in him and he accepts it without shame; courage, to Elian, is simply continuing despite it. His dry humor occasionally surfaces during tense situations, usually when exhaustion has stripped away his patience.

Elian Korbani is a strikingly handsome man in his early thirties, tall and strongly built without appearing bulky. His body is lean, athletic and disciplined, shaped more by years of demanding travel and physical endurance than vanity. He carries himself upright and deliberately, with an understated physical confidence that makes him seem composed even when exhausted or afraid.

His face is masculine and sharply defined, with prominent cheekbones, a strong jaw and a straight nose with just enough imperfection to keep his beauty from appearing polished. His complexion is light with subtle olive undertones, often marked by faint shadows beneath his eyes from too little sleep. Thick, dark brows frame deep-set hazel-brown eyes that are intensely observant and naturally severe.
