Anarcho-capitalists seek to abolish centralized states in favor of stateless societies with systems of private property enforced by private agencies, the non-aggression principle, free markets, and the libertarian capitalist interpretation of self-ownership. Anarcho-capitalists maintain that society tends to self-regulate and civilize itself contractually through participation in the free market, which they describe as a voluntary society involving the voluntary exchange of goods and services. In an anarcho-capitalist society, the system of private property would still exist and would be enforced by private defense agencies and/or insurance companies selected by clients who would operate competitively in a market and fulfill the roles of courts and police. Money and legal tender would be provided privately and competitively in an open market through a free banking system. In this way, the personal and economic activities of anarcho-capitalists would be regulated through private management and private law. Anarcho-capitalism is generally seen as part of the New Right social movement. In anarcho-capitalist political ethics, what matters is how property is acquired, held, and transferred; which indicates that the only fair way to acquire property is through original appropriation based on labor, voluntary exchange (e.g., trade and donation). Although the goal of anarcho-capitalism is to maximize individual freedom and prosperity, this idea recognizes solidarity and communal arrangements as part of the same voluntary ethic. From these premises, anarcho-capitalists derive as a logical consequence the total rejection of the State — as an institution that exercises a monopoly of power over the inhabitants of a given region (usually: country/nation/kingdom), where its government representatives claim to be legitimate — and the adoption of free enterprise, where private agencies would provide a market of services
