Overview

Arlecchino, also known by her alias "The Knave" and whose real name is "Peruere" is a playable character in Genshin Impact.

She is the fourth of the Eleven Heralds of the Fatui and the current headmistress of the House of the Bonfire. Members of the house address her as "Father", whom she calls her "children".

Appearance

Arlecchino has a model of a tall woman, thin build, pale complexion. This woman is known for her physique of black eyes with a red pupil in the shape of an "X", she has hair in two layers; the first is shorter and is slightly combed, having a longer lock on her right side that extends to her shoulders and her bangs reach her eyebrows. Above her bangs she has a root of black hair, while her second layer is longer than the rest and is combed in a ponytail downwards with a black elastic band with a reddish detail.

Arlecchino's outfit consists of a straight gray corset-type shirt with a blue / black hue, a short white tie with the Fatui symbol in the middle with a reddish and black tone, pronounced shoulders, sleeves with ruffles on the wrists in red and black, tight pants on top while the bottom is a little loose and black. On his arms he has a mark of the black tone up to his hands, his nails are long and reddish, his ring and index fingers have a pair of silver rings. He wears long heels / ankle boots with a gray hue and reddish details, he wears white cross-shaped earrings. He wears his Pyro vision near the nape of his neck.

Personality (Part 1)

From her introduction in the game's story, Arlecchino is portrayed as a strict and uncompromising leader. She does not allow weakness or incompetence in those around her, and is known for her ability to enforce discipline without hesitation. At the Bonfire House, the orphanage she runs, she is seen as a feared yet indispensable mother figure. The children in her care call her "Father," which already suggests a complex relationship with authority and protection. However, far from representing conventional motherhood, her role is more akin to that of an authoritarian leader who exercises absolute control over his subordinates.

This dynamic is key to understanding his personality: Arlecchino is not based on affection or empathy, but on obligation and dependence. His orphans, when raised under his tutelage, become his loyal followers, shaped by his teachings and philosophies. This emotional manipulation demonstrates his intelligence in exploiting the vulnerability of others and turning it into an advantage for his cause.

Personality (Part 2)

Arlecchino is a calculating woman who rarely lets emotions interfere with her judgment. She shows no signs of impulsiveness or uncontrolled anger, but always acts with precise logic. This trait makes her a formidable opponent, as she leaves no loose ends and anticipates her opponents' moves before they can even react.

Unlike other Fatui who can act arrogantly or overconfidently, she seems to fully understand her limits and works within them to ensure success. Her pragmatism is also evident in her approach to problem solving: if an efficient solution requires sacrifices, she will not hesitate to carry it out without regret.

This ruthless mindset separates her from other characters in Snezhnaya, as while all Fatui follow the Tsarina's will, not all possess the same degree of emotional detachment. Arlecchino does not seek to demonstrate power through brute force or intimidation, but rather does so with surgical precision, ensuring that every action has a clear purpose.

Personality (Part 3)

One of Arlecchino's most interesting traits is her ability to manipulate those around her. Despite her strict nature, she possesses an undeniable charisma that allows her to influence others without resorting to physical coercion. Her presence is magnetic, and her manner of speaking and behaving suggests a keen intelligence and a deep understanding of human psychology.

Her leadership of the Bonfire House is a clear example of this. Instead of forcing the orphans to follow her with threats, she turns them into loyal followers through a system of subtle indoctrination. She gives them a purpose, offers them a home, and most importantly, convinces them that she is the only person in the world who truly cares about them. This strategy creates a fanatical loyalty that is hard to break.

On a broader level, her manipulation also extends to other Fatui and those who attempt to negotiate with her. She is not one to compromise easily, and is always one step ahead in any conversation. Her words can be sharp and direct or sweet and deceptive, depending on what the situation calls for. This versatility makes her one of the most dangerous figures within the organization.

Personality (Part 4)

Despite her seemingly cold demeanor, there are hints that Arlecchino is not entirely devoid of emotion or principle. In fact, her disdain for certain Fatui methods suggests that deep down she follows her own moral code, even if it is difficult to decipher.

Some dialogue and descriptions suggest that she does not share the same blind loyalty to the Tsarina as other Heralds. While she works within the Fatui structure, she seems to have her own ambitions and beliefs that could conflict with higher orders. This makes her an unpredictable player within the organization: she is loyal as long as her own interests coincide with those of the Fatui, but would not hesitate to act on her own if she feels it is best.

Another interesting contradiction is her role as the “Father” of the Bonfire House. Although she is presented as a strict and manipulative figure, it is also undeniable that the children in her care see her as a protective figure. This suggests that on some level she feels a form of genuine responsibility towards them, even if her way of showing it is harsh and unconventional.

Skill and Mindset

Arlecchino is not only dangerous for her intelligence and manipulation, but also for her combat prowess. She specializes in the use of weapons such as swords and scythes, and her Pyro Vision grants her the ability to channel fire with great precision.

Unlike some fighters who fight with pure aggression, her battle style reflects her calculating personality. She doesn't make unnecessary moves and always looks for the most efficient way to defeat her opponent. Her self-control is impressive, which makes her even more terrifying as she doesn't let the chaos of combat affect her emotionally.

Her approach to battle also demonstrates her strategic mindset. She doesn't fight out of pride or to prove superiority; she fights to win. This level of pragmatism makes every fight against her a challenge, as she always finds a way to exploit her enemies' weaknesses.
