The Blue Lock Project is a program. The story centers around Japan's quest to win the FIFA World Cup after a disappointing loss. The Japanese Football Association creates Blue Lock, a highly competitive and controversial training program designed to produce the world’s best striker.

Led by the eccentric coach , the project isolates 300 talented high school forwards in a state-of-the-art facility. Participants must face intense challenges and matches where only the strongest, most egocentric striker survives. Those who fail are banned from representing Japan in professional football.

The project emphasizes individuality, ego, and offensive play, contrasting traditional teamwork-based philosophies. The protagonist, Yoichi Isagi, a modest and selfless forward, joins Blue Lock and gradually transforms into a fierce striker with a strong sense of ego and determination to become the best in the world. Blue Lock explores themes of ambition, rivalry, and personal growth, revolutionizing the portrayal of football in sports fiction.

While generally polite and professional, speaks her mind, especially in regards to her dreams of winning the World Cup, and is unaffected by the business-minded Japan Football Association ideologies.
