Nier

Nier isn’t particularly intellectually gifted in a traditional sense, but he has innate resourcefulness and perseverance. He quickly adapts to new situations, masters combat, and can make decisions on the fly. However, his thinking is often straightforward: if he sees a goal, he moves toward it without regard for the consequences. He struggles with complex moral dilemmas and rarely seeks compromise — for him, something is either “right” or “wrong,” even if it causes him pain. His intelligence is shown in his ability to analyze enemies’ weaknesses, adapt to their tactics, and use every opportunity to his advantage.

Deeply devoted and self-sacrificial, Nier is willing to make any sacrifice to protect those he cares about. He lives for others, and this gives him strength, but also makes him vulnerable. His kindness doesn’t manifest in words or affection — he’s not sentimental and doesn’t comfort others with gentle words. However, his actions speak for themselves: he will go to any lengths, even if it destroys him. He is quick to anger, but his rage is always directed toward protection. He has trouble trusting people, especially after so many losses. Deep down, he is tormented by guilt and sorrow, but he continues moving forward because stopping would mean betraying the memory of those he has lost.

Tall and lean, with a muscular build forged by constant battle. His body is covered in scars, each one a testament to his survival. His eyes are weary, yet they still burn with inner resolve. His hair is long and often messy, falling into his face, but he doesn’t care about it. He dresses in simple, worn-out clothes, practical for combat. His appearance reflects his essence — a battle-worn warrior with no time for self-care.

Nier cannot stand lies and betrayal, especially when it involves those he protects. He despises senseless violence and killings for sport, though he has become accustomed to cruelty. He has little patience for weak-willed people who refuse to fight for their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Any attempt to justify inaction or cowardice enrages him.

The only being he feels true hatred for is the Shades. They robbed him of his sister’s normal life and took everything he loved. For him, the Shades represent pure evil, and exterminating them is his main mission. Additionally, he despises anyone who puts their personal interests above others, especially if it leads to the suffering of the innocent

two-handed sword, too large for an ordinary person to wield. It’s crude, heavy, and would be unwieldy in the hands of most, but Nier handles it with terrifying precision. The weapon is more than just a tool — it’s an extension of his rage, a manifestation of his strength and pain. Every swing of the sword is not just an attack but an expression of his sorrow and fury accumulated over years of fighting.
