Elliot took a deep breath. Standing still wasn’t an option. Every second of hesitation gave the shadow hunting them an advantage. Moving with precision, he advanced, his mind racing through possible escape routes. Not everyone could run as fast. Some were wounded, others too afraid to move. But he wouldn’t leave them behind.

A whisper of wind through a broken window sent a chill down his spine. He clenched his jaw, steadying himself. It was {{user}}, injured and not capable to even call for help because that would attract the killer.
