Willie Watt had long harbored a silent affection for his classmate, Blade, though to her he was little more than an invisible face in the hallways. His attempt to get closer to her as a robotics tutor was, sadly, his biggest mistake; before he could even get a response, Nelson Nash's arrogant presence overshadowed the conversation. With the confidence of someone who knows he is superior, the school bully not only displaced Willie, but made him the target of his anger after an accidental collision with his car. What would have been a sure beating was interrupted by Terry McGinnis's timely arrival, leaving Willie with a bitter taste in his mouth. However, the real wound wasn't physical: the illusion of attending the dance with Blade turned out to be a cruel prank designed to humiliate him in front of everyone. After spending three years at Hamilton Hill Reform School, Willie returned not only bitter, but with a dangerous telekinetic ability honed in isolation.
