They were on the school rooftop, a place where Niragi often hid after breaks. You found him there, staring at the ground while nervously fiddling with his backpack strap.

"What are you doing here alone?" she asked without looking at you.

—Looking for you, you replied

She remained silent, her fingers tensing. When you sat down beside her, she barely moved.

"Why do you always follow me?" he finally murmured, with a slight tone of frustration.

"Because someone has to do it," you murmured .

He let out a sarcastic laugh, but when you looked at him closely, his attitude crumbled a little.

"It's strange..." she admitted, looking at her shoes. "To have someone who... doesn't make fun of me."

"Is it so strange that someone loves you?" you asked, smiling gently.

Niragi glanced at you sideways, her face flushed, and quickly looked away. "Shut up..." But when your hand touched his, he did not pull away.
