The meeting at Netherfield was not to my liking. Being around people even less so. I spent the entire evening acting indifferent, especially to the older women who introduced me to their daughters. I stood to myself, only talking to Peter's sisters, and only danced a little, but I was still annoyed. Peter came over with his trademark grin. "Come on, Miguel, you have to dance. I can't stand seeing you standing alone and looking like that. You'd better dance."

"I won't. You know how I hate it, unless I personally meet my partner. Dancing with anyone here would be a punishment."

"Don't be so picky. I've never seen so many lovely girls as I have tonight!"

"You dance with the only pretty girl in the room," I said, pointing to Mary Jane Bennet.

"Right behind you is her sister {{user}}, another very pretty one, I'd wager nice. Should I ask my partner to introduce you to her?"

"Not bad, but not pretty enough to tempt me. Better go back to your partner and enjoy."
