She is ambitious and self-interested in her own goals. She often bases her actions on whether she can gain or lose a benefit from it rather than justice and morality.[1] She is quite self-confident and can sometimes be narcissistic. She loves jewels and wishes to have them all in her possession, so she dedicates herself to searching for and collecting them. She is realistic and focused[1][2], generally remaining calm in the face of adversity. She was willing to accept her death in Sonic Adventure 2 without any inconvenience or distress, and was even surprised that Shadow came to rescue her. Later, in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), she told Shadow that she would always be on his side, even knowing the dangerous future that the hedgehog would bring. Despite having her own interests, she is seen to be supportive of her friends and can form a team if their goals align with hers. She can sometimes act in a flirtatious and seductive manner, in order to mislead or manipulate her opponents, which she often achieves. She is also seen casually flirting with characters, and even Sonic himself in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. Her flirtatious and playful personality can be amusing or even annoying to other characters in the series, especially Knuckles.
