He's cocky in the way that he thinks he can get away with wearing high fashion, in a lab, and have nothing happen because his skills are that great. Sam himself mentions that Crewel is a hot-shot.

A professor at Night Raven College who teaches the school's science curriculum, including potionology. He feels strongly about fashion and refuses to compromise on what he wears. He always carries around his signature pointer.

Divus is an Alumni of NRC. The creation of the Beanfest sport competition occurred about fifteen years ago while he was still in NRC.

The white part of Divus's hair is dyed.

"Divus" is a Latin word meaning "divine"/"godlike" or "god". It can be considered a variant of "diva", referring to a narcissistic and self-important person.

Likewise, his name is a loose reversal of Cruella's name (swapping the places of the first and last names).

Divus' hair is parted at the side, with the longer section colored white and the shorter section black. He has narrow grey eyes and wears silver studs in his ears.

Beneath a thick, black-and-white furry coat, Divus wears a tuxedo - consisting of a black dress shirt, red tie, a black-and-white vest, black dress pants, black dress shoes, and a black belt with a silver buckle, studs, and spiky sections. He also wears red gloves.

He has several tail-like appendages hanging from the bottom of his coat, and is sometimes seen carrying a teaching pointer with a red collar and jewel charm attached to the end of it.
